So how about when 360 exclusive devs come along and say "this game cant be done on the PS3". What do you say then? Especially when one of the devs in question is far more reputable than David Cage and is part of a team that has created the worlds most popular Engine.

According to Epic, if they were to make Gears of War 3 multiplatform, it wouldn't look as good on the PS3 as it does on the Xbox 360 and "would suffer from performance issues" due to its use of Motion Blur Skinning, which, according to them, "is expected to be too slow" on the PS3.

All the games can work on all platforms it's just having more time on one sole platform that helps like in that case. If they were given enough time and resources they could make it work on PS3 and vice versa for sony exclusives. There is almost no difference between both of the platforms but people here see better looking games and think it's the secret power of the system and not down to the devs at all.

Pretty amazing that this gen is about over and people still don't get it. PS3 and 360 are a wash. The more cash you throw at a game the better it will look. That's it. There is no upper hand between these two consoles.

The PS3 is my favorite console this gen just as the PS2 and PS before it. Obviously I enjoy my Playstations, but enjoying a system doesn't mean you have to be a blind idiot.

If the PS3 were so superior you would never see it lag with multiplats. Every time the PS3 comes with a knock out, multi million dollar, big budget exclusive the 360 usually has an answer no more than a year later... and usually at a fraction of the development cost.

If the PS3 was clearly superior it would have left the 360 in the dust 3 or 4 years ago. Instead we get this constant back and forth cycle between the consoles. We wouldn't even have graphics comparison threads because there would be no point.

I think this game can only be done on Playstation 3

When asked if Heavy Rain would be possible on the Xbox 360 Cage told us he "didn't think so," as the game takes specific advantage of the PS3's hardware capabilities.

"I think this game can only be done on Playstation 3," he said. "We used all the SPUs.

"I think to do the visuals, and all the stuff were doing would be too difficult [on the 360]. There are amazing physics there, and stuff with crowds that you just couldnt really get."

Also I think the dev thinks they're better than they are. They need to play more games.

The graphics seem basic. Take the lighting and blur affect away, most of the detail and quality animation seems to be in the face.
