360 Fans.. Getting nervous? 2008 around the corner.. No Killer APPS announced

dude lets face it, you know it and i know it that while Banjo, NG2 and fable 2 will be great, they arent exactly what many would consider "Killer apps" Im talking about KILLER APPS. Games that make people skip school and call in sick for work, games that will MOVE systems. Im talking about the Gears of war, Halo and COD4 type of games and lets face it.. 360 doesnt have anything of that level announced so far

When Killzone 2 and MGS4 hit, you can rest assured the gaming world will be BUZZING

alan wake is impressive

it is. it seems to be a very open story driven horror/ thriller game. seems awesome.

I think Lost Odyssey will be the best out of the bunch followed by Fable. then again, im a rpg w****.

For me, at the moment it goes Xbox 360 > Wii > Playstation 3.

But in all honesty for me it doesn't matter where a game makes it's debut, all that matters is who made it and continues to make it. In this case it's Capcom, who is a third-pary developer. I buy consoles for games, not loyalty, especially not towards Sony, that's like staying loyal to a husband who beats you.

Why in the world would any 360 fan be nervous. The 360 had a great year with awesome titles and 2007 isn't even over yet. Then next year there are more amazing titles due.

Yeah, the PS3 has some really high profile titles due and that 's great and all, but so do the other systems. I love how cows try to say only their titles qualify as killer apps that people really care about and all major titles for other systems aren't on the same level, despite the fact that one of their big titles is an unproven IP and another is a sequel to an incredibly average FPS. FF and GT are most likely 2009 releases as both Polyphony and SquareEnix are notorious for pushing back release dates leaveing MGS4 as the only true guarenteed powerhouse exclusive next year.

On the other hand you have the 360 with NG2, Fable 2 and Banjo 3(sequels to high quality titles) as well as games like Halo Wars (from the makers of Age of Empires) and Too Human (from Silicon Knights).

Don't forget the Wii with SSBB (most likely one of the best games of 08), Mario Kart and Spore.

All 3 systems have big titles lined up for 2006. While it's nice the PS3 is getting some big names next year, quit acting like this makes them special in any way. Also don't forget that there's stilll plenty of time to announce big titles for next holiday season, so 2008 is far from beinga lock for any console.
