here in the west a consoles companies place of birth (since sony and Microsoft are both international companies now) hasn't had much effect on how well it will sell. Look at the ps2, ps1, nes.

Thousands more Americans would have died and millions more Japanese civilians and soldiers if the US invaded the main islands. The Japanese were not going to give up but they realized that their entire country would have been wiped out after the atomic bombs were dropped.

Well MS is more popular here in NA that the ps3. Besides, MS is still new to console wars. People in Japan have been playing Nintendo, PS for a while now, so they are used to it. Thats why it's balanced in NA, because people will buy MS products, yet there are people who are used to Nintendo and sony.

I see your point and I agree that, in a way, it was necessary. But remember. Those cities were populated and innocent. They weren't baces they were cities (well Hiroshima was) populated with people who had nothing to do with the war. They were insane during the war. The fighting probably would have gone on much longer if the weapon hadn't been dropped. Hell the Japanese may have won!

However, the origional idea that the Japanese still hold a grudge for the incident is doubtful. Pearl Harbor is remembered (the aniversary was yestarday) but we don't resent the Japanese for it now. What's done is done. I highly doubt the nukes are what is keeping them from buying 360s.

Innocent people died but this was a WORLD WAR and the war need to be needed no matter what. If Japanese really cared about their people and not let their pride get the better of them the war would have ended after the first bomb.

By the way I don't think the Japanese are racist against Americans. Just the opposite, they are obessed with American people and culture and try to emulate it all the time.

No it's because the Allies and the Russians defated the Germans before the war continued. The US was considering dropping the bomb on Germany to end the war, but it ended before then.
