That's a bit unfair for you to say. The 360 hasn't even passed the 1 million mark in Japan, it's not like the game is going to sell bundles if there aren't that many systems. And I might be wrong but, aren't you just assuming NG2 had potential in Japan because in was a game about Ninjas?

What a fail thread this is. Using a country where the install base is less than a million. Retitle it 360 is dead in Japan.

NG2 is in a pretty niche genre. But yes 360 is completely dead in Japan. Though you could of just used 360 sales themselves to back up the claim better.

Few people in Japan even own an Xbox 360. It's by far the least popular console over there because the console has less games that appeal to them, so I wasn't surprised when it said Japan. FB3

What are you talking about? It has more JRPGS than the PS3 and Wii combined! It has even more coming out.

The 360 has a pretty small install base in Japan, so I wouldn't expect a ultra-hardcore game like Ninja Gaiden to sell that well over there.

Yeah, had to rethink that one. Microsoft is an American company after all.

Well, Ninja Gaiden II deserves the poor sales. That's what Team Ninja gets for trying to sell us the same game twice... No, wait, four times.

Japanese refuse to buy American products but some Americans actually prefer to buy Japanese products. I really wish Americans were as loyal as the Japanese are.

The only reason the 360 is dead in Japan is because the Japs refuse to support an American company. The 360 has much more games that appeal to the Japanese but they still buy the PS3 that has very few games that they want to play.jbz7890

Please show me a link of that.

In fact, I'm going to use your logic on the PS3, watch, it's fun!!

"The PS3 isn't beating 360 in America because Americans refuse to support a Japanese company. The PS3 has much more games that appeal to US citizens, but they still buy the 360 which has so many less games they want to play. Yes, it's true, because I KNOW what EVERYONE likes, and what they REALLY want to play."

Well thats obviously not true. The Wii is doing the best in the U.S. so your arguement fails right there. I'll go further and say that the xbox 360 not only has more games that appeal to Americans, it just has better games period and should be in first place.

According to VGchartz (I don't know how accurate they are) the games has sold 347,277 world wide so far. Which isn't bad.

Let me explain you:

Japan's culture is a very complex, closed one. They refuse to buy thinks if they think that a sign of disloyalty to their culture. Video games is their market. Microsoft is an invassor there.

For example, the stocks of Honda falled when the didn't sign Takuma Sato for the F1 team. The damage was SO big, that Honda created an extra F1-Team (Super Aguri) for Takuma Sato to drive in, and try to ammend the damage in Japan.

See?

In America is extremely well known that (being part of an more open culture) japanese products do very well.

That is a very valid argument.

Well according to nexgenwars the 360 has 18 million sold & the BS3 has 9 million. So the 360 is closing in on the leader of the pack & if sales of consoles move at about the same rate year over year this means that it will take another year or longer for the BS3 to make it to 18 million. Assuming a steady trending upwards, the Wii & 360 will be around 30-40 million by the time the BS3 reaches the 18 million mark.

It's not closed. It's open but in one direction: to the West, not from the West. Except beef, oil, and/or wood imports.

Yes, it's true, because I KNOW what EVERYONE likes, and what they REALLY want to play."

Then explain McDonalds and blue jeans (both undeniably American in origin). I would've also said iPods but that appears more a fading fad.

[QUOTE="jbz7890"]The only reason the 360 is dead in Japan is because the Japs refuse to support an American company. The 360 has much more games that appeal to the Japanese but they still buy the PS3 that has very few games that they want to play.HuusAsking

Please show me a link of that.

That's hilarious. Probably the most fanboy-ish excuse I've ever heard.

Fast food and clothing aren't traditional japanese markets. Videogames are.

Even so, there always some exceptions. I'd add Coca-Cola.

M$ should avertize on their "faulty" name in japan.

If X=No, then they should sell 360's without a box and in a plastic covering or somthing. That way the NoBox would have no box.:)

Edit: this has probably already been said but, NG never sold well because of its target audience.

[QUOTE="FB3"][QUOTE="jbz7890"]

[QUOTE="FB3"]Few people in Japan even own an Xbox 360. It's by far the least popular console over there because the console has less games that appeal to them, so I wasn't surprised when it said Japan. neogeo419

What are you talking about? It has more JRPGS than the PS3 and Wii combined! It has even more coming out.

Yeah, had to rethink that one. Microsoft is an American company after all.

Did not stop Japan from embracing Sega. Idk what they hate so much about the 360

Even though Sega was founded in America, it quickly moved to Japan, and is usually thought of as a Japanese company.

WTH, when did the 360 sales train end in Japan ?

You guys gotta keep me updated on recent events.

PS: I must say though I only bought one copy ( son ) and had planned to buy one for myself but did skip it and played a bit of his copy so I'm partially to blame. :?
