getting something for free isnt always the best option, then again in sony's case the amount u spend on the console itself you would expect it to be free.

XBL is worth it. If you dont want to pay for it dont, Your loss in terms of entertainment and gaming satisfaction.

You essentially dont even get the full game out of the box - you have to PAY MORE to get its full features.

The big difference is you dont HAVE to upgrade. No one is FORCING you. Its optinional. YOu can still play games - just lower the settings.

It's impossible to explain to the anti-M$ people around here, I gave up trying two years ago, no matter how many times you bring up things like the free movies, tv shows and games, or things like the contest back in the summer that I won a free game from people that don't have it either won't or choose not to understand the appeal.

(sure I won a crappy game but it was brand new and I got $30 in credit for it when I traded it in)

Just play it and don't bother to explain to people that won't listen about why you like it.
