A lot of it sounds good, yet a lot of it sounds like the same-ol' thing we've been getting for years.

This was my favorite part.

Online Director Dan Bunting took us through a tech demo of the upgraded graphics; while lighting upgrades and tech aren't usually the most interesting topics, what they were showing looked great. As they put it, they are aiming for "PC quality graphics running at 60 FPS on a console." The illusion was quite convincing.

I didn't know sub-HD, performance issues, and 3DS/Vita-like graphics meant PC quality.

Actually, this is Treyarch we are talking about.....

Treyarch has been the studio in the past to actually try and improve the series, so it really isn't that weird....

3 years ago, everyone was hating on Treyarch... now they're being praised... lol

Game looks promising and I had fun with World at War as well as Black Ops I, so the sequel should be just as fun.

nice effort...but treyarch games have always felt second rate...they don't know how to make guns feel like guns...

Here you go folks, the accusations of 'rehash' and 'same old' no longer apply to Call of Duty. What will the haters come up with next?

As one of the 'haters' who always said it's the same old thing, I just may buy this one if it truly is different. I will definitely play the campaign as it sounds fun, however the MP is going to have to switch it up as well, and if I feel it is a sufficient change and I am buying a different product, I will buy this as well (I did not buy MW3) day one? Not enough to go on for me to decide that quite yet.

Can't wait to find out more now.

Also, Dedicated Servers on consoles is a definite expectation, though I actually don't believe they will use them I feel it's a standard that should be met with a game like this. I can just play on PC, though IF I do get this I'd want to play this with my friends and a majority of them play it on consoles.

Not at all, a lot of them bring in new gameplay features that actually change up the gameplay...I do not count different killstreaks or a different setting as a "new game" rather than a re-skin. However, this is looking promising for those like me who feel this way, and could definitely make us change feelings on this series.

Though there are a lot of games I would agree with that are a "MP map and weapon pack" rather than a full new installment, just definitely far fromEvery game.

The Modern Warfare series is inarguably better than Black Ops and World at War.

The funds and new ideas and tech have just made Black Ops 2 > Modern Warfare > Black Ops > WaW.

One thing am sad about is that there is no Reznov. He carried WaW and Black Ops.

Let's wait and see. CoD might be good again. *might*. But after playing so much Battlefield these past couple of years, I don't think I can go back to hitscan.

3arch are the ones who made people regain a little faith in the series, then MW3 dropped the ball and 3arch is here to clean up again.

IW/Sledgehammer may make more hectic fast paced COD games with alot of KS in the air, but 3arch makes more balanced games, or at least they try.

So changing the setting of the entire game is not different enough for the glorious videogame elite, also knows as system wars. What a surprise. Then again, this is the same forum where people were calling BF3 innovative a few months ago.

They should make multiplayer killstreaks stronger and keep streak chaining from MW3, as well as keep the portable radar to reward campers like myself who just use portable radar to camp and let their killstreaks chain and do all the work.
