May I accuse someone of damage control if i back it up with an argument saying why? Sorry if this has already been answered but i am confused.Father_Time89Yes. The problem does not lie within the words 'Damage Control' but within the contentless post aspect.
I think it's considered the same as replying to a post with simply 'lol' or '' or ':|' or even 'QFT' or some such.
I may be a newbie to these things?
What is "damage control" supposed to mean and why is it offensive/banned etc
What is "/thread" supposed to do or whatever?
Thanks again.. just I am not too familiar with this site and all...KraigA

"Damage Control" is a strategy used to mitigate / lessen the impact of negative information upon the affected party.
"/thread" refers to a scripting prompt which ends a string of code. Sometimes, it's also a command that ends a game session or other action in video games using a keyboard interface--i.e. "/logout", etc. In short, it implies that the user has made his point and is now "leaving the thread".
what do you mean "all of the sudden?" this is a reminder of an old rule.CaseyWegnerI've never noticed it. Besides which, if they can't read the rules, they shouldn't get constant reminders.
