Killzone 3 had a lot of hype actually.

Yet Killzone will always be remembered for being hyped the "halo-killer" before it scored a sub 7 score here on GS.

Mostly graphical hype. As I remember, Alan Wake was claimed by lemmings as the first AAAAE exclusive with best graphics on consoles.

Killzone 3 flopped way harder than Alan Wake. It was hyped way more - to be better than Halo, king of console FPS games etc.

Sure, Alan Wake flopped, but nowhere big as KZ3, and certainly nowhere near the insane GT5 level.

They both got like .5 less than the hyped score, I don't find any of them to be a hard flop. Alan Wake did have a bigger reaction though.

i played it, and hated it, was expecting a nice scare, but it was an emotional garbage ride. with crappy gameplay

The only non-flops for the 360 last year were Halo Reach and ME2 (which is on PS3 now anyway). SC Conviction, Crackdown 2, Fable III, and Alan Wake all flopped, and in 2011, 360 owners don't even HAVE a game to flop, so they have absolutely no place to call flop on anything. It's like a bratty kid who can't even dribble a basketball sitting in the bleachers and screaming "your jumpshot sucks!" to the NBA players.Mrmccormo

SW gets crazy when games don't score 9 or above. Alan Wake was a great game and from what I've read (KZ3 not released in UK yet) Killzone 3 is a great game.Stop whining and enjoy your games.

Or even better, buy both systems and play both games. :o

I honestly doubt Forza and Gears won't be AAAE but then again I would have said the same for K3. How can you not place emphasis on exclusives?, all those "exciting" games are also on PS3, the only thing seperating the consoles are exclusives and it's not like PS3 only has 1 or 2 more, we're talking about 8 AAE+ games this year.
