Alan Wake never on PC - now confirmed

Lol. More and more developers are abandoning PC gaming.Even Crysis 2 is coming to consoles now. Do you guys actually have any exclusives nowadays that aren't some kinda RTS or MMO garbage?

seriouly guys, we all know if the game was released on the PC, no body would get it on the x360, and dun forget the piracy, it was a very wise decision, too bad i won't be playing the game ever.

I told people this would happen a year ago. THis is MS, it was obvious this would happen. Even Sony is a huge PCgaming supporter compared to MS. Microsoft hasn't released a single PC game in almost three years, they killed all PC teams that had and got rid of all 3rd party PC devs. Why did people assume Alan Wake would somehow be an exception?

Yea lol, it's funny to see that sony is a bigger supporter of PC gaming than MS. I really wish the PS3 could get AW and Reach so I never have to deal with MS agian D; !

I don't see how signing with MS means the game became linear because of that. The game was always gonna be on the 360, regardless. SaltyMeatballs

speaking of which, i hope somebody makes a patch that gets rid of it from the Steam version of Bioshock 2

I like PC and I'm a really loyal PC gamer, but it seems to me that PC gaming really has no future. At least for now.

I spent 2 hours in the BC 2 PS3 beta... and 30 in the BC 2 PC beta. I'm currently looking to Starcraft II beta. I'll buy BC 2, then Metro 2033, then Brink, then Crysis 2 and then Starcraft II. My present is full of nice PC gaming, and the future are Stracraft II, Battlefield 3 and Diablo III. Could be even better the future of PC gaming? Hardly.

there a plenty exclusives coming to pc in 2010 and because u dislike a genre you can't say it does't count honestly this is the mian tactic people use to try prove there point on pc gaming dying and being crap they completly disregard the strengths of the platform saying it doesn't count and then declare it sucks....

13 games, the majority, on that list are from well known and established IP's or developers.

And I love how console gamers keep using the "lol RTS/MMO" defense, seriously, who gave you guys the right to decide what game types don't count?

A console company buys their success, what's new there? I wouldn't say this says something bad about PC, more like it shows yet again console companies are having to force exclusivity to maintain their popularity.

In 2008 and 2009 Sony has releasedPirates of the Burning Sea, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, Free Realms and one Everquest 2 add-on

Not to mention they also have multiple PC games in development (at least 3)

So yes, currently Sony is far bigger supporter of PCgaming than Microsoft is

And exclusive games should be exclusive. MS shouldn't have released most of their big 360 titles on PC to begin with. It's just bad business.

And since late 2007 or so and on, none of the former PC stuff like Gears, Fable, etc, have gone to PC.

Makes sense and has been a long time coming. To MS, every person with a capable gaming PC should be (and can be turned into) 360 owners.

With the boasting of how they'd fully utilize DirectX10 (which X360 does not even support, mind you), all the talk about how it would be using Quad Core processors to the fullest, and so on.

And now it turns out that the game won't even be making an appearance on the platform which was initially considered the primary platform to begin with.

It's a JRPG, which are dumbed down on purpose. I'll praise the day when a current-gen Square title can touch some of the best WRPG's that have vast landscapes and aren't held back by hardware.

Well, I don't agree with their reasoning because Alan Wake looks to be an experience that fits on PC as well. I had a feeling this would end up happening though. Personally, it doesn't effect me since I was getting it on 360 anyway. Sorry for the Hermits without a 360 though :(.

I was never interested in the game to begin with. In fact I thought Alan Wake got cancelled a long time ago to be completely honest....Wasn't it suppose to be a Xbox 360 launch title?
