See, THIS is why I don't trust Obsidian with Fallout NV. They ALWAYS screw up something critical in one way or another in their games. I HOPE that they clean up their act before Fallout NV releases.

So it will have glitches and bugs everywhere? God...I hope not. Fallout 1 and 2 were some of my favorites games, but sometimes the bugs and glitches make me want to tear my monitor out and slam the game disks with it. It was like god-send when I found out about the mods that fixed up everything wrong about the game and added back in all the stuff they had taken out of the vanilla version.

The fact they praised the game for its "astounding intricacies" suggests the game is great where it really counts for an RPG. GameSpot tends to score too harshly when graphics don't meet their standards. And in all likelihood many of the bugs they're referring to will be quickly patched (in fact it's almost a guarantee for the PC version -- if nothing else, the community will take care of it).

I seriously doubt it's worse than Splinter Cell Conviction, one of the most shallow games I've played this year. The funny thing is AP already got 3 AA scores. If the problem is only low production values and the lack of hype, than I'll buy it. ;)

This is what I was afraid of with all of the delays and all. This really does not surprise me one bit. It is still a game I want to play, so it will be a buy for me at some point.

Is this judging from the review score (with no review to go along with it), or your actual experience with the game? Either way I don't think you're qualified to make that assessment. it was an assumption based on the wording used on the page. You knwo the tagline for the review. I'm sure the review will go into further detail. I do like how you're getting defensive for a game you also haven't played. :)
the problem with obsidian is that they're the most technically incompetent studio out there their games are ugly, unfinished, buggy messes and theit engines suck at the same time they are amazing storytellers and world builders. such a shame

Hmm,I don´t know,so many people trashed NWN2 upon release for having massive bugs and broken quests but with some well placed patches it all goes away;) And I love that game.
AP seems to suffer from the same problems but in a bigger scale,but as far as I´ve heard,the story is very good and that alone makes me interested. And of course,patches will come so it´s not a big deal,for me at least.
You know,I´m known among my group of friends to love games that many others hate and that have bad/average scores so it´s not unfamiliar territory to me:P
