So you feel that you shouldn´t respect other people just because you are on the internet?

They have glitchy and unpolished in there bloodline though :P Talented to say the least, but this time they took glitchy and unpolished to a new low. Usually they have games that make up for the sloppyness. This one didn't.[QUOTE="jg4xchamp"][QUOTE="Arach666"] You speak like Obsidian has developed many bad games...Arach666
Hmm,I don´t know,so many people trashed NWN2 upon release for having massive bugs and broken quests but with some well placed patches it all goes away;) And I love that game.
AP seems to suffer from the same problems but in a bigger scale, but as far as I´ve heard, the story is very good and that alone makes me interested. And of course, patches will come so it´s not a big deal, for me at least.
You know,I´m known among my group of friends to love games that many others hate and that have bad/average scores so it´s not unfamiliar territory to me:P
Yeah but that's the problem. There a release now and patch later type of studio and that's infuriating sometimes. Make sure the game is good to go on launch day. Never was a big fan of that But agreed NWN2 is a great game(not necessarily my cup of tea, but somehow I enjoy it). KOTOR 2 was good. I just hated how it tried too hard to be morally grey with StarWars. It's like the missed the point of the charm in Star Wars. It's all about good vs evil, going grey with that is just flat out doing it wrong. Good game though. Hopefully new vegas is good. I might rent this because I want a good super spy game. Since we're never getting another game like No One Lives Forever :([QUOTE="jg4xchamp"]it was an assumption based on the wording used on the page. You knwo the tagline for the review. I'm sure the review will go into further detail. I do like how you're getting defensive for a game you also haven't played. :)Ginosaji
That would be because I'm reserving judgment until I've played the game myself. I don't believe I've made any definitive statements on the game's quality, or lack thereof. You may very well be correct in your assumptions, but they are assumptions nonetheless.
at the same time they are amazing storytellers and world builders.benbeckman
And in the end, that's really all that matters for an RPG.
Ok captain obvious. It was an assumption and an opinion that based on that score Obsidians usual faults are at an all time low(or high or whatever). Does that please you better?[QUOTE="Arach666"][QUOTE="jg4xchamp"] They have glitchy and unpolished in there bloodline though :P Talented to say the least, but this time they took glitchy and unpolished to a new low. But I agree,it´s rather depressing sometimes.
I actually enjoyed the way the did the moral choices in KOTOR 2,everything sounded so subtile in terms of choices that sometimes you had to ask yourself if you were really doing the rigth thing. I loved that,it wasn´t all too obvious, but you do have a point with the fact that SW was always an obvious good vs evil and not really "gray".
But,game wise, they improved a already good system and took it to a whole new level.
NOLF was amazing,I very much miss the adventures if Cate Archer.

So do I, which is why I want a 3rd one.this sucks, why in the world did they delay the game another year then at first ? WTH happened obsidian.
And in the end, that's really all that matters for an RPG.Ginosaji
nope. it's a game, not a book
although story has a great deal of importance in an rpg gameplay is still the most important aspect
and the days of black isle quality storytelling and va are long gone so it's even less of a fallback

Not exactly. I think people demand too much "respect" in general. Just look at all the flak I'm getting over one light-hearted comment. Some people take themselves way too seriously. You laughed at his opinion saying he has bad taste in RPG´s. I´m sure that being ligth hearted was your intent, but those kind of remarks always end sourly. Ok wats with GS. For like a couple of days its been on and off with these werid glitches on the site. I cliked on read review and it wiged out on me.
I am sorry that we seem to be living up to the old glitchspot nickname. A crack team of nuclear scientists, brain surgeons, and marine biologists are currently working to get our hamsters back on the wheels. My sincere apologies for the bizarro world we've ushered you into.

Sometimes, I wonder why we even bother with our girls. All we'd need is a house, two bedrooms, and a neutrality box which includes things such as Supernatural, Oni, How I Met Your Mother, Extras etc...

I see what you did there.
Brain surgeon should be banned alongside cIass and styIe. It's like a metaphysical version of opening up a forum user and cracking into their psyche, giving you shivers that only happens when someone walks over your grave in a parallel dimension :?
Obsidian is terrible.
I was actually excited for this, then during the past few weeks GameTrailers has had numerous videos on the site and they were all disappointing. Took this game off my "to buy list" and looks like I made the right choice. I'm thinking I should do the same with Fallout: New Vegas, then again that already has a formula so it's not like they have to do much, sort of like with KOTOR II.
I call a repeat of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines GS score 7.7
buggy game but a amazing rpg in the end.

I saw the trailer and could somehow tell that it would not be a good game. It just had that vibe to it. :?

"Bloodlines presents a very interesting world to explore and memorable characters to interact with, and the open-ended nature of many of the quests allows you to tackle the game in multiple ways. My original post was about how this game will be another VTMB in that it received low review scores yet in the end it was a good rpgGamesMaster's verdict on Alpha Protocol is in and it's a favourable one at that.
The mag's awarded Sega's espionage RPG a very respectable 84% thanks to its, "dynamic shooting, insane levels of customisation and a thumping near-future dose of espionage and sinister conspiracy."
One of the standout features of Alpha Protocol is its smooth RPG conversation system. GamesMaster says, "Obsidian may not be the best when it comes to graphic engines, but when it comes to dialogue this team pulls out all the stops."
"There's no black and white here - just so many shades of grey, which means learning to trust your gut becomes vital."
Although Alpha Protocol lacks something visually and may not be the slickest shooter to hit our screens, it's apparently "gratifying and multifaceted" with GamesMaster ultimately finding the whole experience, "gripping, innovative and deserving of both success and a sequel".
