AP seems to suffer from the same problems but in a bigger scale,but as far as I´ve heard,the story is very good and that alone makes me interested. And of course,patches will come so it´s not a big deal,for me at least.

That would be because I'm reserving judgment until I've played the game myself. I don't believe I've made any definitive statements on the game's quality, or lack thereof. You may very well be correct in your assumptions, but they are assumptions nonetheless.

And in the end, that's really all that matters for an RPG.

I still very much want to play this, but I think I'll wait for a price drop. Which should not be long by the looks of things.

I agree,released games that need patches should be non existant,but unfortunatedly,we don´t live in a perfect world,and if a game can be improved afterwards that´s always a good thing in my book. But I agree,it´s rather depressing sometimes.

I actually enjoyed the way the did the moral choices in KOTOR 2,everything sounded so subtile in terms of choices that sometimes you had to ask yourself if you were really doing the rigth thing. I loved that,it wasn´t all too obvious,but you do have a point with the fact that SW was always an obvious good vs evil and not really "gray".

But,game wise,they improved a already good system and took it to a whole new level.

NOLF was amazing,I very much miss the adventures if Cate Archer.

nope. it's a game, not a book

although story has a great deal of importance in an rpg gameplay is still the most important aspect

and the days of black isle quality storytelling and va are long gone so it's even less of a fallback

Well I probably won't upgrade to Windows 7 anytime soon, so okay I will check them out then (maybe not anytime soon, but around this fall).:) Oh I notice there are demos too, so I probably give the first game's demo a try tonight.

Ok wats with GS. For like a couple of days its been on and off with these werid glitches on the site. I cliked on read review and it wiged out on me.

Yeah but that's the problem. There a release now and patch later type of studio and that's infuriating sometimes. Make sure the game is good to go on launch day. Never was a big fan of that But agreed NWN2 is a great game(not necessarily my cup of tea, but somehow I enjoy it). KOTOR 2 was good. I just hated how it tried too hard to be morally grey with StarWars. It's like the missed the point of the charm in Star Wars. It's all about good vs evil, going grey with that is just flat out doing it wrong. Good game though. Hopefully new vegas is good. I might rent this because I want a good super spy game. Since we're never getting another game like No One Lives Forever :(jg4xchamp

Brain surgeon should be banned alongside cIass and styIe. It's like a metaphysical version of opening up a forum user and cracking into their psyche, giving you shivers that only happens when someone walks over your grave in a parallel dimension :?

Obsidian is terrible.

I was actually excited for this, then during the past few weeks GameTrailers has had numerous videos on the site and they were all disappointing. Took this game off my "to buy list" and looks like I made the right choice. I'm thinking I should do the same with Fallout: New Vegas, then again that already has a formula so it's not like they have to do much, sort of like with KOTOR II.

GamesMaster's verdict on Alpha Protocol is in and it's a favourable one at that.

The mag's awarded Sega's espionage RPG a very respectable 84% thanks to its, "dynamic shooting, insane levels of customisation and a thumping near-future dose of espionage and sinister conspiracy."

One of the standout features of Alpha Protocol is its smooth RPG conversation system. GamesMaster says, "Obsidian may not be the best when it comes to graphic engines, but when it comes to dialogue this team pulls out all the stops."

"There's no black and white here - just so many shades of grey, which means learning to trust your gut becomes vital."

Although Alpha Protocol lacks something visually and may not be the slickest shooter to hit our screens, it's apparently "gratifying and multifaceted" with GamesMaster ultimately finding the whole experience, "gripping, innovative and deserving of both success and a sequel".
