Uncharted isn't even as good as Gears 1 first off. Second...Killzone 2 looks like crap next to the gameplay video played at the conference.

That's true. But to say it's the graphics king is a stretch. Killzone 2 looks noticeably better.

Anyone that is a graphics whore can point out how crappy and washed out KZ2 looks. Resistance 2 looks better to me. At least Insomniac has proven they can make a good game.MadExponent

I agree. Killzone 2 is just not a good looking game. I have no idea why Cows hype it for graphics when there are already much better looking PS3 games like MGS4 and UT3.

I believe Killzone 2 only looks good due to its depth of field, blur effects, and filters. I believe Gears2 looks better technically because it's much more clearer and crisper and it is full of many textures (which is Unreal Engine 3's specialty it seems).

Also we need to get some higher resolution videos of the Gears 2 stage demo, because if people can get some screencaps from that, it would really show off its amazing graphics.

Motion blur is to show a sense of speed. It's been out for many years for MANY games. If it was to cover up flaws, all you would see if motion blur through the whole game. Guess what? It's only when you're turning fast or sprinting!
