That's true. But to say it's the graphics king is a stretch. Killzone 2 looks noticeably better.

Gears of War 2 completely destroys Killzone 2. Killzone 2 does not look good, it just uses motion blur to hide its graphical blemishes.

Why can't we both enjoy our very pretty (exclusive) shooters. I mean we all agree GEars 2 is pretty and that Killzone 2 is pretty but what do we gain by comparing them? the fact that whichever console you bought you're getting a AAAA shooter. that makes sense...gorilazandgames

I haven't seen Far Cry 2 yet (going to go check that out after I'm done typing) but I agree about Crysis and Crysis: Warhead. Gears does look absolutley amazing though. Console graphics king. I can't wait to play this game, I've got a feeling my life will cease to exist after I aquire this game.

RE5 looks does not look nearly as good as Gears of War 2. I mean for crying out loud it still uses the Dead Rising engine from 2005.

They seriously need to tone down the blurryness on Killzone2, I MEAN C'MON THESE GUYS ARENT RUNNING AT 120MPH! No need to blur anything traveling by foot!

What I've seen on Resistance 2 does not impress me much, textures remind me a lot of Call of Duty 2 on 360, when it came out back in '05.

Gears was not driven by the story, we all know that and the dev's admitted that, why bash something that is obvious. This game was driven by pure kick a@# action and guess what it got for that

Meh i never really liked the art style...

the characters are so....fat and everything is so dark and murky you cant really tell unless your 10 feet away

Killzone 2 has nothing on Gears 2 graphically. On top of that, Gears 2 has proven gameplay, Killzone does not. And the really sad part about that is this will make 2 Gears games on the 360 before the PS3's first Killzone. It might only take Sony a prerendered CGI from 2005 to make PS3 owners wait year after year, but I guess Microsoft would rather have people playing an awesome game now, and put out an even better sequel in less than the same time.WillieBeamish

If Gears 2 has the story and new gameplay elements that Epic is hinting about, it has a very good chance at GOTY. I don't see MGS4 getting GOTY since its such a niche product that only really has AAAA appeal to hardcore fans.

please just stop. Gears 2 comes closer to the Killzone2 E3 '05 CGI video quality than Killzone 2 does. I won't argue that Killzone 2 looks good, because it does. But sometimes you have to swallow your fanboy pride and admit the other system has something that is even better, especially in motion. FPS's just don't impress as much anymore. That's why a lot of games are going 3rd person.

Your missing the point. Theyre arent talking abt artstyle. They are saying the graphics look exactly like the first Gears which came out 2 years ago and that there are already better looking games than that so this cant be the graphics king.

Gears of War looks better than any game released this year, so it really wouldn't be that bad if it looked exactly like Gears of War 1, but it does in fact look even better. The lighting especially is noticeably improved. Epic created a whole new lighting model for Gears of War 2.
