I really hope this game delivers. I've been interested since those "viral" ads ans so far everything looks to be shaping up nicely. I really think I'll end up enjoying it.

.. but the good thing is. Even if this game flops to hell there will still be entertainment provided by butthurt cows in the form of conspiracy theories, claims of bias and all other kinds of other delicious DC.

Its a win/win either way.

It's the simplicity of Pokemon that makes the game accessible, the underlying skill is what keeps you playing. Who gives a crap if the game is immersive or not, at least it's not a generic TPS, where all you do is shoot and watch cutscenes. Pokemon may not be complex but thats because it doesn't need to be. The Last of Us, to me, doesn't look like anything special at all. It will get 8.5 here on Gamespot, quote me on that.

If you think The Last of Us is just another generic TPS you clearly know nothing about the game. The underlying skill of pokémon games keep you playing? There is absolutely no skill involved in those games give me a break LOL. Games like Tetris require skill, Pokemon games are for 10 year olds.

I'm betting it won't even be game of the year when it comes out, especially if the release date fall within the new console(s) release window.

Please feel free to add to your argument by actually stating what makes the Last of Us unique. Also Pokemon doesn't require skill ? Try fighting Lance in Gold/Silver, There is a level of strategy required for that and many other fights that I can't think of off the top of my head. It's clear that you are only 13 or 14 years old and that you are "too old for pokemon" now. Anyway have fun shooting hobos and playing a game that is essentially Uncharted without the ability to jump.

It was called Redemption and the girl was called Jelena. She and bits and pieces of levels can still be found in tech demos and the CE3 sandbox. I bet someone at EA is feeling pretty stupid about cancelling it.

The cherry on top: the artist who made this went to Naughty Dog and is now working on The Last of Us:lol:

If it was on PC/PS4 this game would be infinitely better. Since it's on crappy PS3 hardware, it will be held back graphically and possibly gameplay wise.

Here is a game coming along that could be very unique and do very very well and be a benchmark in storytelling, AI and character interaction but instead of actually talking about this people resort to their regular BS of ownage and it's the best game ever made. Even without provocation SOny fans just go nuts talking crap anyway.

I know this is SW and bla bla bla but still I wish a day could come when people would actually talk about this games merits and it's flaws from what we've seen and heard so far objectively rather than just sucking at the teet of ND and saying it's ownage over anything they release about it. Yes the game will be good, it's not gonna be perfect but it will be an excellent test in story telling and pacing. And this is coming from a guy who doesn't even have a PS3 to play it.

Sony fans should be proud they get to play it but you guys only have yourselves to blame if it flops and you can blame yourselves for any negativity towards it ebcause you're the ones causing it. People hate sony fanboy cows and how they act towards this game, they don't hate the game itself
