[QUOTE="xsubtownerx"]I guess I should have been more specific. Obviously not ALL the votes were from teens. I thought that was implied. That's my bad. Don't lie man, the only reason you said the teen comment is you don't like the game and you don't like that it won. I haven't played the game so I don't know if I'll like it or not. But you are correct in saying that I don't think it should have been voted as the best game. I think I made it quite clear that I feel like Kirby's Epic Yarn deserves it.[QUOTE="Chutebox"] Oh, so everyone who picked it was a young teen, gotcha. I'm younger than I thought.Chutebox
[QUOTE="TintedEyes"]we've played kirby before whats so original about this? because its yarn? Oh dear lawd. You didn't watch the gameplay video did you? You'd know what was so original about the gameplay concept if you took the time to watch it. what about it, it looks like kirby the gameplay is similar turning into different objects[QUOTE="xsubtownerx"] Kirby's Epic Yarn looks like a very original experience versus K3 which looks like something I've played a million times already..oldkingallant
Killzone 3 even won the shooter reader choices. And rage only got 939 votes lmao. I guess i'm not the only who thought rage was nothing special.
chronocross668
I don't get what's so impressive about Rage either, even the media reaction in the videos seemed forced, like when you see someones baby for the first time and it's ugly.

really? a sequel to an ok game gets game of the show award?
ugh
BigBoss154
A sequel to an AAA game. It makes perfect sense.
Wouldn't a sequel to a AAA franchise make more sense?
Funny. Halo 3 was called Halo 2.5 when it changed more than Killzone 3, yet KZ3 is being talked about it as if it's some great innovation to the genre.
Reader's Choice awards always fail though, who cares. If you need proof, look at the Spike VGA's. Every award is a lolwut.
What makes Killzone 3 so special? What makes it more than Killzone 2.5, what sets it apart from the other shooters?

It's a Playstation exclusive.
PS3 exclusives > everything
Yes, that includes Lair and Haze.
No I think people were just impressed with Killzone 3's demo.
Fixed. But it's STILL just KZ 2.5! :roll:Killzone 3 is really Killzone 2.5 in 3D and with motion controller support, far larger levels, an entire new context-sensitive melee system, and jetpacksxhawk27

Yeah man. What the hell were they thinking when they named Uncharted 2 GOTY. In fact, what were almost all critics last year thinking when they named Uncharted 2 GOTY? That had to be the work of the LOC (Legion of Cows)![QUOTE="RobBourne"]

What was impressive? Don't get me wrong, I'm interested in the game and I was one of the few 5k people who actually played Killzone 2. I didn't just use it to say LULZ 360 FANBOYS UR SYSTEM IS TEH WEEKZ
I just don't see what was so impressive about the demo. If anything I was pretty disappointed to see another developer supporting "No Deaths" in their campaign. Now you can just be reckless as hell and when you go down, Rico can survive you. There's not even a limit, the guy in the stage demo got downed like three times just to get right back up.
I hated it in BioShock and I'll hate in Killzone. For a bunch of people crying about how gaming is getting more and more casualized, I'm surprised everyone seems to be okay with the most casualized feature in any video game.

Yeah. It all was a bunch of hype. The game actually sucked, but the hype goggles were on the critics' eyes too tight.[QUOTE="chronocross668"]
Not suprised killzone 3 is truly is a masterpiece in the first person genre.

I hope Crysis 2 and Rage prove just how much of a mediocre shooter the Killzone franchise is. Infact, remember that rumored Call Of Duty Sci Fi game? Yeah... Killzone.
you can tell someones mad when they use this image because they fail to comprehend facts when they use it, like the fact that killzone 2 had all those effects and guns before those other games and that it only makes sense that killzone 3 has it too seeing as how i dont know, its killzone 2s successor
guerilla should be glad that these companies blatantly copied them
FEEL FREE TO POST A SIMILAR SHOT OF COD4, THAT IS IF YOU CAN FIND ONE

aside from the fact that gun has very little resemblence to the three, wheres the blood?

Your statement was: "killzone 2 had all those effects and guns before those other games and that it only makes sense that killzone 3 has it too seeing as how i dont know"
The gun has a similar resemblence, the effects are similar. The only difference is the blood.

Okay, first of all, in your first post, you said "effects." Effects is plural, and looking at the screenshot and having played Killzone 2 I would imagine you mean the gritty atmosphere, smoke, dark canvas, etc. You also stated that Killzone 2 was the first to have these type of guns and effects.
The Call of Duty 4 level, The Bog, is also a dark level, has tons of smoke, a war torn atmosphere (though not as dark as Killzone 2). Killzone 2 was not the first to have these types of effects and guns. You originally said post a similar image of Call of Duty 4, I did.
Heres your quote:

But keep imagining Guerilla was the first one to introduce "Guns" and "Effects" in the FPS Genre lol.

Hopefully one day you can move away from fanboyism, and actually get a life, and stop loving a company that you have no stake in. BTW, your sig implies Major Nelson said hardcore gamers were wrong for the last ten years, you may want to change that to Stephen Toulouse.
Blood splatter on the screen and the eotech holographic sight were in Crysis.cool, feel free to add your step child image to the other 3
