I still cant understand why the PS3 can't do grass, I really believed it was much more powerful than the 360...but it keeps under-performing with multiplats, it makes me wonder what the 360 can really accomplish if a talented team invests a lot on a custom engine for it,

This multiplat is on the level of 2007 multiplats the PS3 used to get (with the grass). Everyone knows the PS3 needs more development time and a bigger budget.

Seriously, like you, many ppl believed PS3 was more powerfull due to Sony´s claims at the beggining og this gen and the fact it came 1 year later.

At this point it´s pretty obvious that with work and talent, both consoles can reach the same results. PS3 just has the desadvantage of being harder to develop for so to get the same results, dev teams need more time.

Who cares, the game looks awful, runs awful and sounds awful. Both the Xbox and PS3 have game far better looking. We all know to squeeze extra power out fo the alien PS3 devs ened more time, money and experiance.

the grass is kinda a big deal when the ps3 version looks like this .

not to mention the ps3 version's problems with lighting, framerate, tearing, etc...

Umm, those last 3 problems are SHARED with the 360 version. :|

No, theres other smaller details. Like the lack of lightning from fireplace in the first seconds...

Ok I am convinced now. The game is not worth playing on ps3 because of this. Im canceling my ps3 preorder... Im joking of course. This thread makes me laugh. It wouldnt have been so bad if it was the final build.

I know Lemmings are grasping for anything these days now that their upcoming exclusive line-up is pretty pathetic but on a serious note does this game have any serious issues on the PS3 like poor framerate or is it just missing grass and look slighty worse like 90% of multiplats do?FlamesOfGrey
From my experience with the demo, it has poor framerate in the bulding (when doing the mission), especialy on the way back when there are lots of particles. I did notice some little screen tearing but far from what some people here try to make it to be.If you played AC2 on ps3, the screen tearing is MUCH worse there. Framerate in the city (when driving a car for instance) is good. Its definitely not 60 fps but it doesnt drop below 25 or 30 (maybejust occasionaly but nothing terrible). So its fine. Havent played xbox version so cant compare. Ps3 version is fine and the only big difference is the grass. And some newer pics show some grass on ps3 version so the demo most likely isnt the final build.

the ps3 version also lacks clothing physics and blood puddles and certain particle effects, not to mention the tearing and framerate problems.

Lo, it still cracks me up that they just decided not to include grass in the PS3 version.
