Anyone else find the Gears 2 Vid a bit "underwhelming"

By no means am I saying it looks bad, on the contrarey I found the Visuals were great. ITs jsut, I expected to see something that looked much better than Gears 1, adn I really didnt see that. Yes, it was improved by quit a bit, but it wasnt like Gears 1 graphics times 5 or anything liek that. THe animations were very good though and all those Locusts looked great. Im just saying it isnt the best ive seen this gen. Of course, Nov. is still a ways off.

Lack of color is a pretty weak arguement, no matter who uses it. You might wanna watch that video again though, Gears 2 seems a bit more colorful this time around.

I suppose, but like with KZ2, screenshots will not do gears 2 much justice (as in gears 2 will very comparable to gears of 1 with just screenshots)

i owned it and sold it. it was maybe the first shooter i could only stomach sp one time through (usually go 2 or 3, went through RE4 over 20 times) and then about a month of multiplayer and it was boring.

I actually did like it (just to set the record straight) it looked Improved. Im just saying that its not the best ive ever seen. IMHO, I found the KZ2 footage to look a tad better, but both look Phenominal. I was expecting from all the Lemmings Hype for this game to completely blow KZ 2 and other console games out of the water, and Graphically it did not do that. black_awpN1

i know, either games lack replay this gen or im just not into it as much as i used to be. i mean i honestly played re4 for a solid year straight maybe more. over 20 times sp, destroyed mercenaries for the hand cannon. i think it was cuz it was such a revolution to tps with the perspective and now its so standard that its worn off.

Well, it IS on the same console after all, and Epic said they used most of the 360s power with Gears1. Any improvement on that is good enough for me. The 360 and PS3 are both showing off their power nicely now, and they're basically equal.

hahaha fact that after one gamplay video that wasnt taht impressive. :lol: :roll: its basically a rail sequence, you're travelling through the level against your control so you can expect there to be plenty going on around you. environmental textures dont have to be good when you're moving 50mph past them. the lighting looked good though, textures the same, mostly all the same but the gameplay looked so much more awesome

• Bigger action.
• More action.
• More on screen.
• More colors.
• Improved graphics.
• Chainsaws.
• Looked just Fing awesome to play

I am always been and will forever be a cow, I watched the Gears 2 video and I can honestly say that I would play the game if I had a 360, it looks awesome.

Not like EVERY SINGLE ONE of the cows out there who go "IT SUCKS" just to make sure lemmings dont get any good games.

I feel sorry for having a ps3, because it seems that the target consumer is an idiot or something.
