It wasn't that much pre-rendering at all. You really don't need to use cursor all the time and most games lets you turn it off but I can definitely say I'm more surprise Ratchet was able to jump through warped holes with very little loading time is what really took my impressions. I will say Rift Apart is enough to get me to go buy PS5...but we'll see.

Think a little bit moo-moo boy, that means they are using the ps4 game's city environment, and enhanced "many" parts of it for the ps5. This was probably supposed to be a dlc for ps4 which is why its only 10 hours long.

2. I already have. The trailer has no cursor in the fight stage at the end, the tunnels are much faster than in the gameplay video, and the graphics are obviously at the alpha stage in the gameplay vid, and utterly different from the trailer. Read the thread.

The game uses the same core assets as the PS4 version. Its the same location just with snow. You are getting a reskinned version of a PS4 game, that is locked to the PS5 not because it cannot be done on the PS4 because "Teh exclusive". 🤣

Your biggest clue came from the statement I linked which said that "Many" of the City's assets have been updated.

Many doesn't mean all...in English, it could even mean a minority...but mainly it doesn't mean all. EVEN THEN....the assets are still being used, they're just "updated".

They literally use the same City from the ps4 game, and then added textures to "many" parts of the environment.

If ever I say "Its using only ps4 assets", you can then try and pull me up, and if I understand you I'll try and answer.

As for R+C, the link is right there....look at the trailer and tell me you think that is actual gameplay, and ....well, you probably would. Its a cinematic trailer, maybe an intro. The gameplay video has a cursor when Ratchet shoots, the cinematic pre rendered trailer doesnt. In the gameplay video ratchet goes through a warp tunnel, and it takes 3 seconds to enter the new world....in the cinematic one, its pretty much instantaneous.

You really need to stop looking so desperate to defend a huge box of plastic..

Everyone knows Microsoft main event (where they show first party) is yet to come and this was always the plan before sony had their event.

a slightly faster ssd will never make up for the lack of tflops, example ps4 vs xbox one.

ps4 was 1.8 tflops

xbox one was 1.3 tflops

@jewdaddy: There is no information that validates the PS5 being 9.2 TFLOPS. While I understand why people can draw the conclusion due to it sharing the same number of CUs with the 5700, the base/lowest clocks have not been disclosed. Also you cannot say that the unsubstantiated 9.2 TFLOPS is sustained because the GPU(like the CPU) is variable. Only the Series X has sustained clocks.

I think the only thing Sony is scared of is the price.

@Pedro: 10.28 is ps5's maximum boost, but gpu's never run at their peak 100% of the time, it wont be 10.28 sustainable, while xbox xsx is locked @ 12 tflops.

I'd say it's pretty clear SONY has plenty more to show. However, they likely omitted several games in order to have more to show after the Xbox show.

I would say they did without a doubt, but perhaps I could be wrong. There are several studios that haven't shown games, and they said they are pushing much stronger on the mp side of things and showed basically nothing at all for that yet.

They are also in major talks with trying to acquire Leyou Technology (reported $1.1-$1.3 billion, but other companies are in the bidding war as well) which would be huge, and have also been hinting at a new AAA studio that is probably working on a new Uncharted game or a new IP.

We are going to see SONY and MS start to snatch up more and more companies to help in their fight against Amazon, Google, and whoever else decides to get more involved and locks up all the talent.

SONY themselves alluded to the fact that they have more to show as well.

I'm sure MS won't show everything they have coming in their show this month either. They are both playing a game of cat and mouse and both hoping the other will overplay their hand.

I must say that if I'm wrong though that they haven't revealed much yet that has me all that excited. Then again it's not usually the blockbuster AAA games I really care about as much as other games, so I'm quite positive there are many more games coming in the upcoming months that I'll personally be more excited for.

As examples I don't care about Spiderman or The Last of Us.

ps4 was the only non bc sony console. the ps2 played ps1 games. the ps3 played ps 2 games. ps4 was the only one that didn't because of the ps3 architecture. you really think sony has bc this next gen because of xbox lol?

selling there games on pc 4 years later is not the same as xbox first day on pc. sony doing it in a much smarter approach. keeping there game exclusive for a few years brings the console sales up then selling to pc years later so there first party can more money for there next ps game. while keeping console sales up.
