Go to gametrailers and see the HD footage, yes, it looks like an xbox 1 game. Heavenly Sword and Lair are miles ahead of it in terms of visuals. If the gameplay in Killzone is kicka55 then Killzone could knock Halo of the map, because with sony keeping a tight lid on the game, we know it'll look amazing.

Halo 3 looks like an xbox 1 game, but no one seems to notice. I guess people are in denile. Halo 3 is in Beta form now, so the improvements made are gonna be clearing up glitches and other things, not enhancing graphics. Beta is usually a mirror reflection of the final product. agree, there are games where grfx helps gameplay, like gears, it wouldnt be the same if ur enemys didnt exploded when u shotgun their ass

I agree...Halo 3 gameplay is getting the focus and I think it is not going to let us down. And the Beta test will further show how they wanna perfect the online play as much as possible for their fans and just to make the game as good as possible.

Lair looks good, not as Good as Gears no, but good but yet the gameplay looks boring to me. The in air man to man fights are using the same game design you see in like GOW I think in that they are kind of cutscenes that you control by pressing certain buttons. I think it works great in GOW and probably will in Heavenly Sword too but don't see it working well here. Besides that the Dragon thing really puzzles me as to why people are interested in flying around on a dragon with motion sensing for the flying... but to each his own

lair gameplay is only being hyped by blind fanboys, look at every lair video to date they barely mention anything about the gameplay.  It's simple misdirection they don't talk about it cause it sucks.  Even when the interviewer tries to pry some info about gameplay they quickly switch it over to a graphics only conversation.

Tell me one thing about lair gameplay that has you excited??

The way the lair devs go on about the game you would think it was a tech demo not a full game, do they not know that gameplay is always the most important thing in a game. No matter how good it looks people will get over the graphics, and once they do all they are left with is a boarding game.

Oh, so now my post is Bs simply because of resolution differences, buddy, let me let you in on a little secret, You should be able to tell a jump in visuals whether screen shots are hi-res or not. Take these screenshots for example.

Think again before you use teh "buh buh, teh low res screenshots" arguement, theres no excuse for Halo 3 to look like Halo 2, Hi res or Low res. The difference should be there, and easilly visable as you can see with these screenshots.

Halo 1 ROCKED!! Halo 2 UMMM OK HALO 3 ??? will it suck, probably but I still have lots of other 360 exclusives to look forward to, and also I'm sure most PS3 games will be ported to the 360, and vice versa so having one will be as good as having the other, in the worst case.

Well I guess Bungie did what they could with limited Hardware. Don't give me that Gears looks better though arguement, Gears has a lot less things happening onscreen than Halo 3 so devs could push more polys because of lesser models. Halo 3 has lots of enemies on-screen at once. So I guess got all they could out of 360 with Halo 3.

What makes you think it will suck? I have know reason to think its impossible for the game to live up to the hype, unlike the lair devs bungie are focusing on the gameplay, then graphics, the mp beta is not to show off the graphics, its to see what the gameplays like and what needs fixing ( gameplay wise.) Anyway bungie said that the e3 trailer was running on the game engine and that's what they were aiming for for gameplay so unless they fall way short of that (because the e3 trailer looked awesome!) the game should look great.

Funny you say that, because the Bungie developers are promising that the graphics will look like the ones we've seen in the trailers.

any way bungie seemed to be using place holder textures for the halo 2 alpha which isn't uncommon, so we can expect the halo 3 alpha is also using place holder textures also.

I know I saw the Beta video and I wasn't impressed, thats all I need to know. And for anyone using Gears as an excuse that Halo 3 isn't using almost all of 360s power, remember that Halo has a lot more models onscreen at once than Gears did. Had Gears attempted to have as many models on screen as Halo, the game wouldn't have look half as good.

I do wish cows would stop judging how succesfull games are before they are released. SilverGamer99 if Halo 3's graphics are as great of a disapointment as you say they are then please point this out to the world when halo 3 is released. After all alot of graphical detail can be implemented into games before their release date. For example look at how much forza 2's graphics picked up in one month. Besides even if they do suck chances are the game will still be a success because of its innovation and gameplay meaning no one will be lisening to your comparisons. Just look at the halo series in general. As for killzone 2's ability to astonish the world, i'm waiting for gameplay video's to be released to deciper that.

Halo 3 is in Beta form now, so the improvements made are gonna be clearing up glitches and other things, not enhancing graphics. Beta is usually a mirror reflection of the final product. It's annoying to see the same people who bash gorgeous games like Heavenly Sword and Lair, say that Halo 3 looks fantastic. LOL, I think some fanboys are in denile. Hey, I'm not big on Microsoft or the 360, but I do like Halo, and this is a dissapointment. Seems Sony is waiting for their chance to astonish the world with Killzone 2. And It will astonish the world, seeing how Weak Halo 3 looks right now. Not flaming, just stating the facts. Discuss. SilverGamer99

go watch the new videos of Halo 3, it clearly says PRE ALPHA BUILD. and then it shows how old the videos really are.

I know I saw the Beta video and I wasn't impressed, thats all I need to know. And for anyone using Gears as an excuse that Halo 3 isn't using almost all of 360s power, remember that Halo has a lot more models onscreen at once than Gears did. Had Gears attempted to have as many models on screen as Halo, the game wouldn't have look half as good.

How do you know this?  Did you make Gears of War?  No?  That's what I thought.

You say its wrong to base a game judged on the last in the series no matter how bad it was, well a developer is only as good as there last game, but what do you know you judge halo 3 on afew low res alpha videos...

I didn't contradict myself, you're just not good at comprehending. When I said improvement, I meant that gameplay wise, Killzone 2 will be better than Killzone 1. I didn't mention graphics at all with Killzone 2, because I already know the graphics are going to be kicka55. Halo 3 isn't improving much anymore, go look at the Beta Video, people seemed to think there was going to be some magical evolution between the alpha and the beta. Didn't happen. The fact that you want Halo to improve as you just said "So its impossible for Halo 3 to improve then?" that goes to show the game is graphically lacking.
