Are people really that excited for another Killzone?

I like the Playstation, so far the things that I've seen and heard coming from Sony regarding the PS4 seems pretty good. One thing I don't understand though, are people really that excited for another KZ game? TBH the series as a whole is pretty medioce and the only thing people really talk about is how great the games looks. Killzone 1 was bland and generic claimed to be the halo killer. Killzone 2 was OK once you got use to the heavy controls, but then Killzone 3 was just pure garbage. I am sorry, with that track record I don't understand why people keep bringing KZ4 up, hell the trailer they showed wasn't even that impressive...

Nope, after Killzone 3 I think I am done with the Killzone games for good. If I want to play a game that prioritizes graphics more than gameplay I will play Crysis, since that has better graphics and gameplay than Killzone

I'll be getting a PS4 but by no means am I getting KZ:SF unless there's nothing else at launch. Very uninspired and drab series.

It looks fantastic, but everything else about it looks so dull, just shinier this time around. So no, I don't think many are actually excited for a new Killzone, they're excited by the prospect of a new console and this is a decent early benchmark of what the PS4 is capable of.

Love Killzone. This one looks pretty interesting with it being set about 30 years (i think) after the events of Killzone 3. This opens up a lot of new advanacements in weapons and robotics , not to mention a new spin on the world they live in now. Can't wait to see the multiplyer. Love me some Warzone.

I was really disappointed that they are still trying to make people care about that franchise. I would love to see what GG could do besides Killzone. It would have been far more effective to come out with a new IP.

I'd bet the biggest reason why most SW cows are so excited about Killzone is the visuals... and well, can't blame them for it. That demo was a huge jump compared to anything you see on the PS3/360...

I was really disappointed that they are still trying to make people care about that franchise. I would love to see what GG could do besides Killzone. It would have been far more effective to come out with a new IP.

It's on a brand new system, ofcourse people would be excited. If it were released on the PS3, it would have plunged to almost complete obscurity. And if it weren't exclusive, it would have plunged to Hell.

Probably because it's an exclusive launch title for the PS4 that makes people excited for it.   I don't really care for another Killzone myself either.

To be fair to cows... I'll tell a little story...

my cousin wanted to play Halo 4.. he never played halo but he heard everyone saying it was the greatest FPS. So he was over at my house playing on my neighbors xbox 360 playing Halo 4 on the TV same room as me... While i was playing Bioshock 1 on my pc. and OMG you would not believe how long we spend cracking jokes at Halo's horrible gameplay in comparison.. like really ? a 6 year old FPS has a massive advantage on fun combat vs Halo 4 stale and pale basic fps mechanics... yet it is critically acclaimed. I dare say Resistance 3 gameplay was way better than halo's and that game sucked. :?

Of course! Any video game series with a following will have people that are excited for it.

I got 1500 hours online on KZ2... so yes im looking forward to it.

I think the Killzone series overall is very mediocre. I have played the first, second and third games and I can say I've stopped playing them immediately after I finished respective campaigns. I just play them for the campaign, the multiplayer is pretty boring to be quite honest. I think we are excited just because of "tEH GRaPFiXZZ!" to be quite honest... :P 

Killzone 2's multiplayer was great. I put way too much time into it. But the campaign sucked.
Killzone 3's campaign was good and the game looked great. I feel the best showcase for the PS3. KZ2 was too dark and dull. But the multiplayer stunk.

If they can nail both the single player and multiplayer (KZ2's multiplayer had it's own unique feel. The guns had a lot of weight and the movement was slower paced with bigger battles. Why screw with it?), I would buy a PS4 just for that and one more really good exclusive at launch.

Killzone 3 Multiplayer was such a blast. One of the most fun ass Multiplayer experiences this (or is it last? :P) generation.

But knowing the director of Killzone 2 multiplayer will be at the helm of Killzone Shadow Fall calling the shots, I'll be purchasing it the instant I get my SlayStation 4.

Yes. Even though you don't like it there are more than enough people who love the series and can't wait despite what system wars will tell you. Surprising I know.

well my point is.. if people get exited for halo with it's horrible gameplay then why not about anoter FPS ? 

I like the Killzone series because of its not so preety science fiction gritty war look, on the other hand, i can see why they want to change things up for the new one since its set years after the previous tittles. Maybe they wana make it more sci-fi which could open up more possibilities.....Vehicle Combat perhaps?

Having played 2 and 3, I believe that the new Killzone will be good to look at but a pointless, forgetable game. That's how I see the ones that I have already played. Of the launch line up that we've seen so far, it will be the one that I bet disappoints the most.

Not really looking forward to it as I am not really a fan of the franchise, but it does look good and if it plays good, I will pick it up. The series isn't a bad series, it just doesn't really do anything to stand out.

Personally I am more interested in Infamous Second Son, Drive Club, Deep Down, and Knack than Killzone Shadow Fall.

Yes, dropped over 100 hours into KZ3 multiplayer and over 150 hours into KZ2 multiplayer. Even enjoyed KZ1's multiplayer a little bit online...though it was nowhere near as good.

In short, yes, very excited for KZ4. I'm more excited for the new Infamous and Watch Dogs...but KZ4 is going to be incredible.

I'm excited to see it in motion on my tv and see how it fares to games like crysis 3 on pc but i will no be buying a KZ title ever. Worth a rent i guess.

KZ mp is proboly my second faviorte FPS mp with BF being number 1.

I already have KZ3. I'll buy KZ2. Later on, I'll buy KZ4.
