Are there any core xbox players on the verge of calling it quits with M$? I am..

Here is my tolerance level with how M$ has treated their core fans:

Well, if they don't announce a whole lot of exclusives, very respectable hardware specs and some new IPs for the 720 i'm throwing in the towel with M$. I've been a loyal fan of xbox 1 and 2 for the last 9 years but enough is enough. 

If the 720 will be all about music, movies, apps and kinect then they just flat out said Fvck you to the people who got them where they are today. They will diehard and in my eyes by as lame as the Wii with there gimmicky motion controllers. 

I'm so fed up with them at this point that if they don't address the core gamers with the 720 i hope they get blown out of the gaming market with a million kiloton atomic bomb. 

Any core xbox players out there feeling this rage?

I'm still trying to figure out why they jumped in in the first place. That's if they're truly core as they claim.

Hmm, whilst Wii was getting nothing, PS3 was getting SSBB & MKR clones and 360 got Halo 4 & Forza Horizon with Gears J coming soon so I dunno, seems fairly core in comparison to the others. :o :P

It's in the same boat as the WiiU/PS4 in that I feel like I don't want multiple systems next gen and should be happy with my PC, but I am not against picking up one of the consoles if the incentives were there.

The difference is that I have more faith in Sony to bring new IPs, and more faith in Nintendos franchises than I do with Microsofts first party. I do not want any more Halo at this point, I'm not that big into Gears of War, and I do not believe Microsoft will invest enough new ideas to warrent having any faith in them. PLus RARE isn't making stuff in line with Viva Pinata or Nuts and Bolts anytime soon either(if ever).

I don't know about calling it quits, but they are the least flattering of the big 3 going into E3.

Nope not yet. We shall see how this new Xbox looks first, but i'm interested to see where it will be going.

If you are wanting exclusives (Kinect and XBLA don't count I guess) than you might as well go get PS4. Microsoft is an American company. If a game does not sale well such as Alan Wake or Deadlight they are gonna port it to PC to get the profit back. If a game does better than expected like Fez or Fable  then again......port it to PC and make a little extra.

Microsoft does not care about the exclusive label. They are gonna put games on Microsoft platforms. Nintendo has strted to do it with the Wii / Wii U and 3DS. Sony is starting to do it with PS3 / PS4 and Vita.

Funny- In the last few years Microsoft has had as many exclusives as the Wii. But only Microsoft gets flack for it. Microsoft has more actually but we don't count Kinect games (for a reason I suppose) or XBLA games even though XBLA are some of the better games released this gen. 

Microsoft is not gonna be stupid like Sony. They are not gonna destroy the company to make 100 people in a game forum that won't buy their exclusives anyways happy. Funny- Everyone wants their phone to do 100 different things but when a console does it people cry. Hypcrites much?

this is why i'm on a wait and see basis at this point. Its a commonly known fact that we have no great exclusives other than the good O gears, halo and forza but thats no longer enough. The past several years they have been putting their muscle to chase the Wii dream and "take over our living room" with entertainment. I buy consoles for gaming nothing else.

And i feel like a dumb loyal dog eatting the scraps off the table of the sloppy little new born baby's table that is better known as the mainstream where mom and pops with their little 5 year old want to watch movies and play tickle me elmo with kinect. I got news for them. These people wont be the first to buy there brand new console.

Its mainly becasue of core players like myself who introduce this device to other non gaming family members and friends. That wont happen this time around. No games = me no buy. I'm about 85% sure i'm spending 2000 bucks on a new PC and let sit back and watch console gaming companies who cherry up to the main stream and forget about their core to take it up the a$$ by good old bubba.

Nah MSFT know what they are doing. I expect an excellent product that will appeal to EVERYONE. The way game content is delivered is changing and MS and xbox Live will lead the way while the "competition" plays catch up. A storm is coming guys, nukes are gunna be dropped in April :cool:

I gave up on them yesterday, when my main account got locked out of XBL. Gonna pick up MGR Rising, and after that I won't be turning on the system anymore.

Rumors are making me less and less exited for Xbox 3. PS4, on the other hand, was a positive surprise! Wee will see in april.
