Normally, I can accept opposing opinions. But you lose all credibility when you make statements like that. And it's not enough to play a game. You have to experience a game. You have to judge it by the games released at it's time, and you have to PLAY THROUGH the game. Some games don't get good until the end. I am not saying that's like Falliut 2, but if it's considered a classic by many, many people; perhaps you wrote it off too quickly and didn't give it the chance it deserved.
I played it long enough. I got to the part where you rescue a merchant from bandits in a cave. That was far enough for me. The game was unbearable.
I remember arguing with someone that claimed that Doom sucked and that Halo was much better. I told him that you couldn't compare and I told him that he had to take into account the FPS genre at the time and what Doom did for the genre and the PC market. The same thing applies here. Before you write it off, educate yourself on the history of the genre, FINISH the game, then come back and say you don't like it. Even if you still hate it, I can respect you for giving it a fair chance. I ALMOST wrote Deus Ex off when I first started playing it. Until I got to Hong Kong, which is what sucked me in. I am so glad I didn't put that game aside. I would implore you to do the same.
I would if the game wasn't unbearable.
I'm being serious when I say that I find it hard to play. Deus Ex I can relate with. I didn't get why everyone loved it so much until I got to Hells Kitchen but then I realised the genius.
Fallout may have affected the RPG genre and turned it into what it is today so I respect that but as a game,I really don't like it.
