I saw that there was a similar thread on Modern Warfare 2 shortly prior to release, so why not one for the hugely anticipated Modern Warfare 3?

On November 8th, the biggest entertainment release of the year (and possibly of all time) will take place; the important question is, what will you do in order to get to play it?

Me myself, I haven't personally decided yet, but I believe that I may take a few days off. In my opinion, I think that as gamers it's our duty to commit our lives entirely to gaming, especially when it comes to such an important game and release. This, as I see it, is more than just a game launch; I think that it should be a day all gamers celebrate, whether we own a Wii, Xbox 360, PS3 or a PC. I think we should hold hands that day, and just enjoy ourselves with one of the most gratifying experiences that entertainment can offer.

In the year of 2009, the majority of people decided not to take a day off from school to play Modern Warfare 2.

Seeing as I finished school years ago and I value an education more than mindlessly killing images on the screen, yeah....

I dropped out college wasnt my thing after a year and a half, so refocused on getting in the RAF or getting my band off its feet (mind you the band is still in its infancy we only had 1 practice and were using a drum machine :( ).

But still aint gonna take a day off or change my schedule for a game ever :P aint done it so far, mind you i was snowed just after GT5 released but that dont count since i couldnt get in or out of town for college lol.

Never in a million years even for any COD games. Teachers really hate people skipping school for games especially for any COD game and trust me a teacher once told a couple of my friends and me a story that involved abunch of people skipping a midterm exam in a Math course for MW2.

Same thing sorta happened to me. We had a pretty bad snowstorm the day before GT5 came out, so I got to just stay at home and play GT5 for a few days while it kept snowing.
