Wish he wasn't holding a whole studio hostage, though. Hope he knows the majority of the people who play games like this want a normal cute girl as the hero
Stop being silly. Nobody is holding the studio hostage.
Videogame developers are ultimately artists, and they can choose whatever art they want to put in their games.
Stop trying to police what developers are allowed to put in their games. Stop trying to censor art.
If you don't like it, cool, don't play it. Go play Stellar Blade for the 80th time.
But if you to hang around and talk about it, don't bring sexism and transphobia into the mix. Stay classy. People might actually take you seriously if you're able to talk about these games like a normal person.
No.. no it doesnt lol
Literally looks like the same person dude.
Eyes a little sleepier in the CGI, but that's about it.
From those big beautiful eyebrows to that distinguished chin 😋😁👍
@elderlord99: yeah, I also don't like it when Hollywood folks get in my game, visually at least. Kind of ruins the immersion for me, and a part of me is like "How much money did you spend to have this Hollywood person in this game?"
I can tolerate famous voice actors for the most part--Sean Bean or Leonard Nimoy narrating Civilization, Mark Hamill doing Joker and other characters, and so on--but I don't like seeing their likeness rendered in.

Also, pretty much takes a part of a characters identity away when they have more or less the exact same face as other fictional characters.
I showed this to a psychologist yesterday on social media, and he immediately recognized the character as Mario.
But all these holywood modelled characters, all look practically indistinguishable from eachother.
No, not in the slightest. Naughty Dog would rather make a movie than sell a game. And hearing by it going to be open world by peer pressure its gonna be Jak 2 all over again.
Apparently on the new DF Direct Weekly, DF can't believe how good the new ND game looks and try to pick apart how its "in game cinematics" were rendered in realtime on the PS5, along with that action sequence at the end of the trailer. It's interesting to hear their speculation.
They also point out this is the first PS5 game by the studio, and that their last gen games like Uncharted 4, if released today, the visuals would be well received.
"Here's the thing about this trailer: I'm finding it very very difficult to actually find any kind of artifacts"
"When a company gets it so right and you get a presentation that looks this clean, this good, I think anybody should be able to recognize that and recognize that this is actually a really stunning looking game and it's kind of like where everything comes together, everything is consistent, it's actually quite amusing that the artifacts you do see in there like the moire pattern on the screens are actually in there by design"
I'm interested to see how things will turn out on the technical front with this game because they can usually squeeze some great looking visuals out of the hardware.
@girlusocrazy: Naughty Dog does an excellent job with cinematics and I don't believe most gamers are concerned about that with the studio. I personally would like a greater focus on the game playing experience. That includes the pacing and the active participation of playing. Naughty Dog has dropped the ball in that area as far as I am concerned. I still hope that their new venture is focused on addressing that issue.
Looks promising. But I lost a level of respect for Naughty Dog ever since they cancelled TLOU Multiplayer.
Naughty Dog didn't cancel anything, those were orders from above. Naughty Dog is not an independent studio.

It seems like you found a lot of various games you like anyway on the bright side, so you will still have a lot to play if this game doesn't end up being what you want personally.
Yes, there are definitely a lot of good games, but I wish Naughty Dog would work more on the game mechanics, not just the cinematic presentation. If they could find a balance between story and gameplay, it would be perfect.
I loved Uncharted 1 & 2, so I'm excited. The trailer didn't reveal much, so my anticipation stems from the fact that it's Naughty Dog who are making it.
I feel the exact way. The trailer didn't show too much. I've generally been let down by space games, but ND makes well thought out, well executed games, so this game will be on my radar.
