@BigBadBully: I keep my consoles because I enjoy retro gaming. One day, even the XBox One will be a "retro" console (perhaps worth holding on to, we will see.)
All I'm saying is, if the console that had full hardware BC to two of the biggest game libraries of all time could be treated like a crack whore last-gen, what did people honestly expect the reaction to be to the XBone having it? Why is it the fault of Cows when they get sick to death of having thread after thread about this feature rammed down their throats in System Wars of all places? Is BC a good feature to have? Sure, why not. Do we need a thread in System Wars every time the BC list is updated so that Lemmings can do the +1 Maypole Dance of We Have A Meaningless Feature But We Want to Have Something to Argue About? Hell to the nah. To the nah nah nah. Hell to the nah.
I guess, what I am saying is, I probably speak for a lot of people in System Wars when I say that the issue isn't the Backwards Compatibility itself so much as how it's importance has been blown completely out of proportion by one fanbase here because the truth is they don't have jack shit going for them in this generation. It was obvious to everyone but the Lems. People such as myself tried to warn them that there would one day be blowback from how they acted about BC. That day has come, and it's delicious. I intend to enjoy it thoroughly. By Lemmings insistence on turning Backwards Compatibility from a nice feature to have into a war banner, they took a generally positive thing about their console and turned it into a giant glowing neon "Who gives a ****?" on a blimp circling overhead.
