There's lots of Anime that's not set in Japan.

I still can't believe Ubisoft would move the timeline forward this quickly...missing out on a lot of significant historic times perfect for the AC franchise.

Considering how much this franchise has been milked in the past 5 years, is there anyone who is truly hyped up for yet another Assassin's Creed game?

I am. And I only played AC1, AC2, AC Brotherhood and Revelations.

The other ones are not for consoles, otherwise I would have played them too.

I've wanted America circa 1795-1805, Boston and Philly are the major cities (already developed) and Washington DC in its infancy and containing the sevcrets to the end game.... it would be heavenly madness.... Freemasons can represent the Assassins and Templars can be the Brits or whatever... ugh, please be right.

There were freemasons on both sides. Freemasonry in British Empire at that time was heavily tied to the Royal House. Grand Masters were usually members of the royal bloodline. So I don't really see how freemasons could be assassins and British could be templars.

In the Truth Puzzles of Assassins Creed 2 they told us that Washington and the Founding Fathers were all templars.

To be extremely frank, I was fine with the box art in the other thread, the other image though? A bloodied Assassin with a flag behind his back? I gotta be frank--"America F*** Yeah!" Did come to mind.

It's a good shorthand for "Hey, this game is set in America, not Europe like the other ones". I don't see a problem with it.
