The PS3/360 more than likely outpower most PC's in the world. The amount of businesses that still use shoddily powered desktops is shocking.

I think it would take at least a really good Phenom 2 CPU to beat it.  It'll get the job done, CPU takes the back seat to GPU and RAM.

At first I was having a hard time trying to understand it, because Steam is where all PC games are and it's a gaming platform. I expected to see better hardware...

Then I knew that high-end hardware isn't needed to run games. I can still play games with a GTX 260 today and it's possible by turning down the graphical settings. Many people seems happy to play games at Low settings, given the information from Steam statistics. That's what makes PC gaming great - options and freedom. You can do whatever the hell you want with it. Low settings, Medium or High, or a mixture of them. Any pieces of PC hardware are acceptable.
