Battle of the Sky Games: Skyward Sword vs. Skyrim, which will be better?

One's an RPG, the other's an action adventure. And yet both are similarly structured high fantasy games with a similar emphasis on open world exploration, sidequests, and tons and tons of content that is accessed only via NPC interaction. The games both feature an emphasis on dungeon exploration- the genres may be different, but the games are very similar, similar enough to be compared.

My question is, which game do you think will be better? Skyrim? Or Skyward Sword?

My personal vote goes to Elder Scrolls, which I am hyping as Game of Forever (and therefore, also as Game of the Year :D)

Skyrim looks better as of now, but we don't know anything specific about Skyword Sword though. A better question after E3.

Dont underestimate Zela, I dont care if it is Elder Scrolls. Their "worst" game "Twilight Princes" is still considered to be better than 90% of other games.

No contest, Skyrim - Perhaps with "N's" new console they will be able to make aZelda looking and feeling like a this gen Zelda and I sure hope it's a sequel in the form of a Zelda WW. :P

After playing the atrocious Oblivion and utterly bland franchise betraying Fallout 3 I have no interest in Skyrim. Recent news such as removal of skills, no attributes, infinite dragons, no spears... again as well as gameplay footage make me even more concerned for Skyrim. To be frank, I am expeting that vanilla Skyrim will be the worst game made this year I will end up playing (but only because of mods).

I didn't vote because I'm looking forward to both but because Zelda is my favorite series and I like what I'm hearing about Skyward Sword I would say that.

Could be either, but going by the past entries in the series and the developer who is making them, Skyward Sword.

right now I'm leaning towards Skyrim but I've preferred Zelda in the past. This is just judging by the preview materials we've been given so far. If Skyrim is as buggy as New Vegas I would say that Skyward Sword would be better.GunSmith1_basic

Skyrim even through I am not getting it. Not really interested much in Skyward Sword anymore. That last trailer was really unimpressive.

Considering Bethesda games are unplayable trash until the community comes up with a s***ton of mods to make them resemble something that is remotely playable and might, in some circles, be considered "good," Skyward Sword.

Lol, that's not even up for debate, Zelda is the best franchise ever, so Zelda by a huge, huge margin.

Zelda no doubt about it. Skyrim is just going to be a glitchy, outdated blob of garbage like Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Fallout NV. Gamers like to complain about how devs love to fart out unfinished games yet they continue to support developers like Bethesda. UE3 games run more stable than bethesda's games and that's saying a lot.Rockman999
