Don't know why they just don't go the BF2 route and just scale it down. Battlefield is supposed to provide a huge "war" experience. Kinda boring if you only ever find 3-4 people because everyone is too spread out.

Say, for example, here's the map of Caspian Border, the new map:

That's the full, 64 player map for PC. However, that would be far too large to play a 24 player game on, so, in that case, the map would look more like this (cue insane MS paint skills):

Of course, you'd have to modify spawn locations and such, especially if you're planning on putting any jets into the map with 24 players, but that's kind of the idea.

Modern Warfare 3 hasn't shown its multiplayer until then I will reserve judgement of which is better, but that trailer looked cool.
