Expected. Not really an issue though. It's not like people actually notice.

There are a few games where I cant tell that they are sub HD.... FF13 360 version, Crysis 2, and COD. In some cases sub HD creates this really ugly blurry game, but I guess if devs know what they are doing they can get good results and not having to sacrifice much IQ. Sub HD is not a big deal for the consoles. And this is old news btw. There is a new footage of the 360 version and the game looks fine..... showing all its sub HD glory :P

Textures are getting better, enviroments bigger, so the developer is forced to scale down the resolution to make the game playable at 29/30 fps. End of the year will mark the 6th year anniversary of the Xbox 360, and the 5th one from PS3. Time to move on...

It's not scaled; it's matted. (Unless you have overscan turned on, but then it'd look exactly the same as Bad Company 2 did anyway.)lowe0

I played it once lol, would totally playthrough it again if it got a trophy patch.:( It's not my favorite MGS, but it's still a fantastic game.:)

Actually, the vertical resolution matters quite a bit. If strictly based on resolution, 1024x768 would look slightly better than 1280x720.

I noticed that when I used to game on the PC with a 19" LCD monitor which had a res of 1440x900. I noticed the image quality of games was better from a friend's older 1280x1024 monitor.

You just see more real estate with the higher horizontal pixel count.
