I've seen it quoted in sigs during the Crysis 2 release, and in this thread I was shown a ton of links that said: "Crysis 2 360 best looking console game", etc. One of them was Kevin-V talking about the visuals of Crysis 2, but he didn't say that the X360 version was the best looking game on consoles ;) And of course, he later posted in the thread that Uncharted 2 and Killzone 3 looked better. I did look into that thread, and I'm almost certain that lems kept saying Crysis 2 was the best looking console game, due to all of those links/quotes. I said "nobody listened" didn't I..... excuse me, The_Game21x :oops: My bad, I meant to say lemmings.

Textures are getting better, enviroments bigger, so the developer is forced to scale down the resolution to make the game playable at 29/30 fps. End of the year will mark the 6th year anniversary of the Xbox 360, and the 5th one from PS3. Time to move on...

If you have Shaders above High, Crysis does look blurry. Leaving Shaders at High is just right. I noticed it at 1080p and below.

shouldn't be a problem. while some subhd games, such as mgs4, are just plain ugly, most of the time they look okay. heck, even the current console graphics king, crysis 2, is subhd

What is the verdict of your comparison, that Crysis 2 (X360) looks better than Killzone 3? Because it doesn't prove it. Like I said earlier, take note on the lensoftruth article.

Did you even read? I took shots there were representative of normal gameplay, warts and all. I also took shots of particularly ugly moments in the game. Only using bullshots is bull****. "And remember, all games have their ugly moments, so posting a few very ugly pics of Killzone 3 or Crysis 2 won't win this debate. It's about the whole package." Not to mention that LOT article didn't have specific shots showing the general statements they talked about. It was 2 paragraphs long...My thread sort of compliments LOT since they didn't mention anything specific about post-processing and lighting, while I didn't talk about resolution and framerate.

Nah, I don't. Realistic-styled graphics just don't hold up at all over time. It makes me wonder if BF3 will look awful in the future while Skyward Sword holds up well.

Crysis 2 (X360) has to many screen tears and fps rate drops to be better than Killzone 3 technically. I guess this puts down your claim and thread.

That article you posted says that the consoles were doing things that the best of computers struggled with which is a flat out lie. That makes me take half of what they say there with a grain of salt. Crysis 2 does nearly all of what it does in real time while KZ3 doesn't as far as I know. In the end it comes down to what you value more as a technical feat. Which is an opinion. I know an opinion isn't a fact and nor do I ever try and state otherwise. Yes I have read that link many times since it was posted first when they did the comparison. I have never played MGS4 so I can't really comment on how it looks. Then you will most likely not get it from him I guess. Crysis 2 is not the "console graphics king." That is merely an opinion. Personally, I think Killzone 3 and Uncharted 2 have better graphics.
