PS3, all of my friends (especially the ones who are Battlefield fans) play on PS3, and no matter how great people claim the PC version is; Battlefield is infinitely more fun with friends (from my personal experience).

Mulitplayer with friends was choice when split screen but the whole online way of things now has ruined it somewhat, I'll be getting it on my pc, pitty hardly any games are Lan enabled as well, worst choice for any game maker to make imo, sacrilage that SC2 didnt even have it.
Anyway, I'll be picking BF3 up on pc.
PC of course.
Consoles are for people willing to settle for second best.
I'm prety sure it was said you could use a controller for vehicle controls. So you'd get the best of both worlds. Mouse and Keyboard for main FPs action, controller for when you're on a Jet.

The Superior Race has spoken, you have a console so you're instantly wrong on every aspect of everything you do. You have stained your soul by owning such a plague-ridden device )razgriz_101
I know where you are coming from i pay UK insurance as well and i just had £15 in bank charges for missed payment of my last installment so that just added to my bills. A lot of elitists don't know things also happen outside their home just let it slide. Don't want a PC vs PS3 thread or funds vs fun or whatever it'll end up being. :P
What one are you guys gonna pick up? I was thinking of getting it for PC but then I thought that I like flying helicopters and jets on PS3 more, plus I have more friends on there. What do you guys think? Do you think the PC version will let you use an Xbox 360 Controller?socomusnavyYou most likely can use a 360 controller. Although, I don't see any reason to do so. Infantry and Water/Land Vehicle - Keyboard and Mouse Helicopters and Jets - Throttle and Joystick.

First years a lot worse aswell mines clocked in at just over 2.3k especially being a 19 y/o..mind you i was economical with the truth when it came to some aspects, regardless of the hellish price its better than relying on the abomination known as Scotrail or First bus *shudders* they set records in lateness here sometimes :(
the only reason i could see someone NOT getting for PC is not having a powerful enough one.BrunoBRSThat'd be me. Well actually it's me not having a PC all together. I plan on picking up BF3 in 2012 along with ME3.

What if you don't have any friends gaming on PC?

Hmmm... Going for a longshot on this one. Make friends on the PC perhaps? I am sure you could find plenty of people be joining some Steam groups or even some Facebook groups. You could always join a clan (or whatever you want to call it) since it would clearly be filled with like minded people.
If it were me, I would introduce my current friends to PC gaming. Most of my friends and family game on the PC but I am always converting my console only friends to PC (or at least they get into PC gaming and stick with consoles too).
the only reason i could see someone NOT getting for PC is not having a powerful enough one.BrunoBRSOh please
I'm getting the PS3 one, but I'm fully aware that the PC version will be the better game. Just don't have the juice to run it properly.
I'm preparing for it.
Just bought a new computer and on my next paycheck I'm going to buy a new graphics card for it.
PC. Visually speaking it wont be a huge step of for me as my PC is not 1080p and I heard the console version will be locked at 720p which is basically what I'll get from my PC. However, I will be running through my 42" Panasonic Viera Plasma and will be using a game pad. I dont care how much I might get owned as I dont run around and get into alot of 1 V 1 battles in BF games. I am ALL ABOUT MY TEAM. I heal, I drop ammo, I repair and destroy vehiclesand I call in mortars and plant C4. For me as long as my team wins, I dont really care if I go 15-5 or 7-10 in the kills department. 64 player battles Vs. 24 player battles = MAJOR PC WIN!!!

then screw your friends, you don't have to play ALL your games together :P i mean... damn it it's 64 players, more maps, JETS, and if it's anything like BC2 it the DLC is free.So you cant run it at all or you cant run it max? Dont listen to this guys on here that claim if you cant max BF3, then dont bother playing it. That is just ludicrous. Ill be playing at 1366 x 768 because that is what my PC/Plasma HDTVare capable of and that will not dimish my enjoyment one bit! But I am getting the PC version for all of the obvious reasons.I'm getting the PS3 one, but I'm fully aware that the PC version will be the better game. Just don't have the juice to run it properly.

That's true, I always liked clan support in games. Still, I prefer gaming with my "real-life" friends, the ones who I talk to everyday (not on the internet :P). In my case, both my GameSpot friends and my "real-life" friends are getting Battlefield 3 for PS3, so it's win-win for me ;) but my point is that there are many factors that go into choosing a platform, so having a weak PC isn't the only reason for purchasing console versions of BF3.

As much as I love the PS3, I'm getting this for PC..
i'd like to disprove EA's statement that you cant max out BF in modern PC's ;)
Depends if you have a good gaming PC and friends playing the PC version as well,if so then PC version without any doubt.
Personally, even if all my friends were getting the PS3(or 360) version,I would still get it on the PC,but gladly that´s not the case for me.
