[QUOTE="arto1223"][QUOTE="ZombieKiller7"]What's the difference between the versions? Just graphics? Not sure I'd spend a couple grand just for better graphics, over the convenience of plug n play that I play everything else on.ZombieKiller7
Really? Option to have as many as 64 players vs only 24. As you said better graphics, higher frame rate, support for M/KB, gamepad, flight sticks, etc..., if compared to the 360 versio there is no need to pay for online play, faster loading, and a few other minor reasons.
Also, thanks for bringing up that age old myth that you have to spend $2,000 on your PC. Also, my PC is 'plug n play'. I walk into my room, click on the game in my Steam library, Origin library, etc, and it boots up. No need to swap out discs when playing a new game. I can always see when my friends are on (since we are on computers, we are connected more often than people are for consoles) and if they are in a game, I just right click and click on join game. Then it boots up extra fast on my SSD. So I think my way seems to be more convenient. If I were on a laptop, I wouldn't even need to connect to a TV/monitor or power supply. Let's see you play your 'more convenient plug n play' console on a plane or in your classroom. Yea, I thought so.
a - BF3 is just one game b - Your PC wasn't plug and play when you were busy researching the parts, pricing everything and putting it together, was it. Have fun getting 1 hour battery life on the plane. lol You guys aint even trying anymore are you.A- Yes it is one game. There are many other multiplats on the PC too, and guess what, 99% are supperior for similar and other reasons than the one I listed for BF3.
B- Your console wasn't 'plug n play' before you bought it... So I'm not sure what you ment by that. 'You cannot use your product before you have purchased it'... really, news to me. And as for battery life of my laptop, why can I only get one hour of use from it? Do I have to be playing Crysis on max settings with my fan speed cranked to the max too? Oh wait, no I don't. The fact of the matter still remains. I can take my gaming laptop (with my two backup batteries) onto a plain flight and play my games on it, or while in class/work I can play my Steam/any and all other games while in that class room/office.
