yeah the backgrounds will be 3D, i didnt doubt that. but Polyphony always focus on the car models more, which i think willlook better than forza 3's.

I'll wait till both games are released and hope that both sets of fanboys enjoy their respective game. We've had this back and forth of graphics for years but the truth is, if graphics really mattered the Wii wouldn't have sold 50 million units.

Personally I prefer gameplay over graphics. Which is why some of my favorite games are the oldest (Final Fantasy IV, VII, CT, Diablo 2, Starcraft, NWN, Tetris!)

The background and enviroment in Forza still looks crap. Neither are anywhere near to how good PGR4 looks overall. Car models are superior, yes, but I find it hard to believe everything else with the exception of the roads still looks terrible.

I guess when you want a game to look bad, it's easy to ignore the good stuff that maters, and base your oppinion on the bad that doesn't.

Whoa, I used to think nothing could touch GT5 in graphics, I am now owned after seeing Forza 3.

But, based on my experience, PGR4 is still the best looking game out there when it comes to environments. Add in the day and night tracks and the weather effects and you have what is still one of the best looking games this gen as far as I'm concerned.

You guys praising GT5 better pray that it comes out the way you hope it will. Like others, I am waiting for some confirmed gameplay footage or images. Actually Sony better hope that GT5 does better or matches the quality of Forza 3 because expectations for GT5 are understandably high and if they fail to deliver close to these expectations, I could see it have a very negative impact on the PS3. A lot of this would be due to the constant delays in the release date.Fumpa

Seriously, I couldn't agree more with you. It's always bad news to overhype a game being kept at such a distance from the public as this one. It needed to release instead of :Prologue way back when, and the continued delays have made the hype almost unattainable.

But also, it's a day one buy for me :lol:

All this hate from cows towards Forza 3 is just insecurity, and jealously. I think the Forza franchise is a really great thing because increased competition in the racing sim genre will prevent lazy sequels like GT4.

Honestly, I still can't see a noticeable difference between the two, unless I squint, which means they will both look the same when I'm playing them. I can't wait for these games to come out so this will at least slow down or have real "proof" as to which game is better.Z0MBIES

well technically we are not comparing FM3 to GT5 in terms of graphics. It's FM3 vs. GT5: Prologue at the moment. There are no screenshots or vids of GT5 at all right now.
