Other way aroundactually..sticking up for lemmings here.....
3 red lights = unplugged video cables.
4 red lights = RROD.

Or a power short. But still funny none the less.
If it was unplugged all 4 lights would flash.
Power short, like a power failure. If you suddenly cut power off/on to the 360, you get the 3 red lights. Gotten them at work several times.

That never happened to me, but anyways, I only meant to quote the other guy.

3 Lights is RRoD. What the hell are you talking about? lmao I've gone through 2 and each time it was 3 lights.
I love how one 360 dies at GDC and the cows go crazy out of the barn, then again maybe they are still hurting from when phil harrison compared Halo 3 to Killzone 2....APOLLOCJD
Oh, we are so totally going crazy. You just wait for tommorow when we start the protests.

My little brother is on #3. all 3 were brand new (not refurbs).

The denial is strong in this one, is there any saving him/her?
maybe now they can start using the billions of dollars that they have to make a reliable console...imagine a world where the xbox 360 has a 1% failure rateHellRazer360I can't.
We're 0/4 in this house. 0/8 if you count the repairs.

go ahead and call me dumb i dont care but....what do you mean???:?Not good. I cant see how they couldn't have fixed this by now! I read all the time about new versions of the console coming out with different components installed, i.e. smaller and cooler chips etc, better heatsinks. If my PC was overheating, I know exactly what to do to fix it!
What gives?
Anyway, being part lemming, I hold my hand up and acknowledge ownage by this video if it is RROD and not a power outage.
Seriously what the hell are you doing with your 360 if it breaks that much on you? I play mine more than anyone on this board and it happened to me once. (which I blame on a software update and knee jerk reaction more than anything)
So after thousands of hours using, it broke on me once, and I got it back within a two week period, from complaining to getting the box to getting it back. It has been running fine ever since.

Nothing special. our 360s were sat with plenty of ventillation. Ran fairly regularly. they just croaked. RRoD.
you won't because sony actually fixes their mistakes.[QUOTE="Lyphe2k"]Haha nice. Now I wanna see a video with a PS2 with a DRE at one of these conventions.mztazmz
over 2 years after 360s launch and this problem hasn't been fixed??? pathetic company if you ask me.
It took Sony 4 years to fix the DRE, and Sony did not even extend the warranty. They ignored the problem for 4 whole years.
The newer working models were not released until late 2005, so the PS2 took around 4 years to fix its problems. Now I hate Microsoft also, but atleast they owned up to their mistakes and extended the warranty.
