you are mistaking your own preference for a controller (opinion) against what is actually a better control scheme (fact)ogvampire
Bingo.
In technical terms, the KB&M is the superior FPS controller, followed by the Wiimote. The mouse has a near-infinite range at high-sensitivity, wheras a joystick hits the "edge" of the housing, at which point you hit "max acceleration" yet lose precision. In haptics terms, a joystick is vastly inferior to a mouse for the task of aiming. Play a point-and-click game with a joystick and you see why - and yet an FPS is essentially the same interface.
The Wiimote is superior to a joystick for aiming, because it offers free, instanteous targeting within the screen area - regardless of direction or acceleration - it allows targeting in a far quicker manner than the dual-joystick system. However, the Wiimote does suffer from a "limited range" in the same way as a joystick - once you hit "screen edge" it too must use an an acceleration scheme, it cannot compete with the mouse in having a theoretically infinite "pad" space (with lift / drop techniques, fully infinite).
