I love GTA Vice City and San Andreas, it is a tough call. Vice city gets my final vote, just because I probably put more time into it. It was such a fun game with an amazing soundtrack and captured the 80s very well.

I think it wasn't because he was black in many cases... It was the macho-rapper gang-banger BS - boy what an obnoxious early part of the game. Personally, I hate the LATD character in the same way i hated gang-buddy-boy whose name I can't even recall... And he was white.
Anyways, Vice City gets my vote. Not the most "advanced" GTA, and a little rough around the edges, but I loved the sense of ****and the characters.
GTA 4 is the only GTA game I really liked. If I had to choose one from the poll, I'd say Vice City. San Andreas is my least favourite of the last-gen games. Mainly because I can't stand the whole 'Gangsta' theme.
Saints Row 2. Yeah I said it, It's more fun than any of the GTA's and it has better missions structure, I hate playing a mission in GTA, failing it then having to drive halfway across the map to do it again.

San Andreas BY FAR and i can not understand anyones reasoning for picking differently! Ever plaay bridge hunter with you mates on SA? Where you get a Jet Fighter and have to go under as many successive bridges as you can? SA was vast it had cliffs, forest, the Sea, Shaty Towns, Desert, Citys, Villages, took half an hour to drive around! Had the Gang Wars going on in the background! Honestly how the hell can Vice City be considered better? Are you all Racist? Perhaps thats it because in comparsion Vice City is just a re hash of GTA3?
Most definately GTA III. It felt more focused than the rest. Less convaluted, less frustrating mssions, less irrelavent junk to get caught up in (ie, eating mcdonalds and getting fat, going to gym to get muscular)....Screw all that crap, I just wanted to roll as a gangster and rob, steal and M.D.K. mofo's.

Seriously, why do so many SA fans pull the "racist" card whenever someone says they like VC more? Tommy was a *really* cool character and the atmosphere in VC was just freaking great... SA was, technically, a better game, but with a series that is made so distinctive by character and humour, VC is easily put over the top by setting and characterization for many of us.
Besides, it's not racism to hate the constant macho-gang-banger BS that SA is steeped with. You know how I know that? I hate the LATD setting for the exact same reason. It's just a crappy setting, and it saddens me they did it in SA - took away from an otherwise spectacular game.
San Andreas gets my vote. I think so many ppl hate San Andreas because of the lead character being black and the whole gang issue. Vice City was trash too me. I didnt even finish it half way before I just stopped playing it and sold it. I dont know why so many ppl think it was great.smh

Wow that is surprising - more people like Vice City than San Andreas! I enjoyed Vice City, but I think that San Andreas had so much more to it :) I lolled that you didn't include GTA IV :lol:

Oh, and you know how? You've asked how many people why? Racism is about pre-judging a group of people based on something superficial. Take a look in the mirror - that's *exactly* what you're doing here. My preference of VC to SA has *nothing* to do with racism, which is true for a lot of other people... But you're quite happy to lump the lot of us in with racists. Admire your own hypocrisy at this point, and don't you *dare* try and put words in our mouths as to why we prefer game X to game Y, especially when the words you're choosing paint guys like me as a racist.
Seems too easy unless you don't have a 360 or are just overly loyal to another name-brand console :P - the this gen one that scored 10/10 - already with one AAA expansion and another on the way.
