OMG OMG total flop! Honestly I am shocked that GS had the guts to flop such a hyped blockbuster, especially a SHOOTER! Awesome!

I tried to tell everyone. I'm Negrodamus 8). I called it. Now I'm calling that MW3 will get 9.0 and higher metascores, sales, and player count (duh).

I think this will be the most intesne comparison ever :). BF3 VS MW3 is so much fun to me. Probably the most fun I've had in SW since... 'MGS4 VS the 360 library' :P.

Also... a few PS3 flops this year, but U3: DD not really one of them. Inflopmous 2 and Flopzone yes.

Yeah, it's a surprised for sure that BF3 is being knocked down for SP, because it's known for MP, but it is what it is.

Those graphics that 85% of PC gamers can't max out won't help it get 9 and above. I mean don't get me wrong an 8 is all good for BF I guess, but I won't be lowering my standards to play that game when I can play a game like CoD with a fantastic campaign and MP that's bound to get 9 or something like Gears of War 3.

The hype factor does factor in, however. BF3, despite all the hype, hasn't quite lived up to it. I know quite a few IRL friends who got the game (BF3) and were somewhat disappointed by it.

If they took the campaign several notches further, by reducing the amount of scripted events and improving the writing, then BF3 would be a real winner.

It actually wasn't bad, but I really didn't want to play it again and it really needed a KB/M. I love how they finally stepped away from regenerating health though, big plus for them.

Batman Arkham City or Skyward Sword for GOTY guys? I'm betting SS since it's gonna get AAAAE.

It will. It will be just as linear and scripted as any CoD, but that's the standard. CoD does it right apparently. While any other agme that is very scripted and linear can never be as good as CoD, CoD gets a free pass.

Look at Black Ops. The campaign was average at best yet it was praised so damn highly. Unbelieveable.

This is awful, you know why, because what the media as a wholeis giving from this is that COD knows how to create and fundementally make better sequels then BF3. And that is why I am so upset about this.

I'm guessing they docked it for the campaign? I find it funny how reviewers have magically started to raise their standards now after giving the average "mehs" of BC2 and recent COD campaigns praise.

Glad to see they aren't getting a pass for half-assing the campaign and thinking pretty graphics was enough to carry it.

I'm not sure about that. MW3 does a lot to differentiate itself from MW3. Graphics wise? Not much at all. The engine is the most recyled, with some refinements, though most of them won't be visual.

I mean, it's so bewildering to me that MW has to achieve the status of 'change everything or fail'. What did Battlefied change? Not much, but it's a badass Bad Company 2/ Battlefield 2 experience multiplied by ten, and the best Battelfield game ever made. Probably the best multiplayer game this year, or even this generation.

Some of the new additions for MW3:

- Killstreaks are changed to Point Streaks, and balanced into Strike Packages. It's tuned for new players, lone wolf players, and team players.
- Better balanced. No more OMA, no Nuke, no Commando, lowered grnade explosion radius, knife lunging has been reduced.
- Weapons leveling system is new. Probably one of the best ways to unlock and progress in multiplayer.
- New Prestige Shop. You can choose your bonus for prestiging, buying stuff like Stat Reset or Double XP for 2 hours.
- 16 Spec Ops mission.
- New Spec Ops survival mode, with endles waves. Brand new to the game. Like a mix of Horde 2.0 from Gears 3 and Zombies from Black Ops. Playable on all 16 multilpayer maps.
- Two new game modes. Kill Confirmed, which changes the way yu play team deathmatch, and counters camping. The other is some kind of flag mode similar to Odd Ball in Halo.

I can go on, but there's a laundry list of smaller additions. I REALLY believe these changes are for the better, and that the additions are significant. Journalists have said these are significant changes as well. All we have to do is wait and see if everything works. How can these changes be ignored and simply swept under the rug as "recycled"?
