BF3 PC and PS3/Console screenshot and video comparison

Close enough considering this is a 5 year old console. Can the PC dudes stop crying about how much better PC is to PS3 - Consoles

I'll admit it when there isn't a big difference.

Since consoles still haven't gotten anywhere near Crysis, and BF3 is even better than that, no. Still a huge gap.

Screengrabs which are heavily compressed? Just wait for full on HD vids/pics of both versions and then we can compare. Or wait until release.

I've seen 720p youtube footage of BF3 on PS3, and I have a 1080p uncompressed video of PC. PC is way ahead.

Oh man I wonder how bad the tank demo is gonna be. Look at his outfit, its actually a bit different on PS3 than PC.

Then wait for some more footage of other levels with some 1080p screens. Much better than compressed Youtube screens.

Difference of course but not a massive difference, textures are better on the PC and a lot less jags

Again what is the point of this thread is obvious PC has much better gfx but what people are really happy about 64 player cap

Becausemany of these guys have never actually seen a gaming pc in action and all they have is youtube videos for comparisons. Most of us know that youtube comparisions will not show the drastic difference in clearity and detail as seeing the game in action. These are the guys that start the beef between PC and Consoles. They have never seen it in person so they still think that a console can compete legitimately.

Yep, to the console versions, with the TC stating how similar they look off horribly compressed images. The recent topics were created by console fans, but it doesn't mean we haven't had any Hermit made threads regarding BF3.

omg i new high end pc that costs more then when the consoles came out 5 + year ago looks better stop the presses !

still think its pretty pointless to compare a game that even pushes the pc to the limit to 5 and 6 year old hardware, just enjoy the games peopleChris_Williams

Meh, it's System Wars. People do enjoy the games and they also compare them. It's all just a bit of fun (which some take too seriously :P)

Hermits like to make it seem like consoles are putting out N64 graphics :roll: Console version looks amazing. PC version looks way crisper and a bit better but certainly not the "OMG CONSOLE VERSION IS TEH SUX" they make it out to be.The_Pacific

They shouldn't even be able to run the Frostbite 2 engine. I'm sure you could try and port the engine over to the Wii but it would look really really bad. I would argue that a port of Crysis 1 would look very similar to the original. I'm sure the PC guys would say its nigh impossible :)

Even with those crappy screen it is possible to distinguish side by side all the fugly textures in the PS3 version. Most walls lack detail, it's just as if they are plain white walls, while on the PC version you can see the little imperfections. Also even the uniforms look kinda different because of the lower rez textures.

Please prove it :).. I've played many PC games and there are many threads in GAF with High Res PC screens of all modern PC games. None of them make a PS3 or a 360 look like a Wii .. If they did I'd be bashing consoles :)

I didn't me your cousins E-Machine! LOL. I can't take you seriously. I run my PC and Xbox 360 on the same screen and when i switch back and forth between inputs my PC makes my xbox look like a joke. Once my eyes get used to the console blur and haze it looks pretty decent but once you go back to PC with True HD and 32xAA the comparison is rediculously obvious.

Metro 2033 is literally a generation ahead of its console port

ARMA II, not possible on consoles.

Crysis. Also not possible.

Shogun 2: Total War. Would make any 360 RRoD on low settings.

Battlefield 3. The 1080p Fault Line video is so damn good.

Just remember us when you see your first real gaming pc in action. When the game is running in true 1080p if not higher with max settings and 8xAA-32xAA and then you will realize why PC gamers get so upitty when consolites try and play it down like it's no big deal. Or when the next gen systems come out and you're like OMG that is so sick this makes the xbox360/PS3 looks like garbage and realize that this is what PC gamers have been playing for the last 3 -5 years. When you pick your jaw up off the floor you'll remember us.
