Great rebuttal. Up to standards with your usual nonsensical ramblings.

Because they can't refute me. They can't even name one major thing Infinite does better than Bioshock 2.

Because you always come up with some dumb reason as to why they're wrong. You do the same for Mass Effect

Link I found on the bottom of the page: GS News - Bioshock Infinite Ending Unprecedented

I expected a lot from the ending but instead I had figured it out since the whole multiverse/time travel stuff is old hat if you are remotely familiar with bad Dr. Who/Sci fi Channel plot devices.

Really, it is.

The story is far better written with far more focus (the focus on the pairbond between Delta and Eleanor), Sofia Lamb is a far more deep villian than Comstock is, Eleanor is actually a more kick ass female character than Elizabeth was told she would be, the characters in Bioshock 2 are deeper than there infinite counterparts (really Grace is a far more deep character than underdeveloped Daisy is), while unlike Infinite, Bioshock 2 characters are not as black and white (antagonists can be tragic while allies can be shady, even have wronged you majorly in the past), the gameplay is actually more varied than Infinite with more options for combat, and Infinite is a giant step back in choice and consquence while Bioshock 2 was a huge improvement over the first in that department.

Then Minerva's Den.....more clever than Infinite without even trying to be, while Infinite shows signs of trying to hard to be clever. Booker DeWitt is nothing compared to Charles Milton Porter, who is actually a deeper silent protagonist than Booker is vocal. And Minerva's Den handles racism in one audio log much better than Infinite does in the entire game.

Bioshock 2's story problems are its slow beginning and its need of the first game. But Godfather Part II also needs the original Godfather, but even then its still great. Infinite has focus problems, weak character development (outside Liz), lack of depth in key areas, plot holes, deus ex machina, and when it came down to exploring what would make infinite unique, the direction cowardly runs away from it, instead putting focus in a deus ex machina riddled, convoluted, time and space travel story, with a cop out arbitary ending. The team that made Bioshock 2 knows how to end a game, because Levine sure doesn't. Bioshock 2 keeps focus...its all about the pairbond.

Sorry, but the game thought as a cash in with the Bioshock name is a far more focused and better game that the game hyped months before release in how important and revolutionary it is. Bioshock 2 was humble, Infinite is pretentious.

And Infinite's DLC will have to impress, because Minerva's Den IS the "bar" when it comes to great DLC.

And Infinite basically rips off Bioshock 2...its the same story......father figure (Delta, Booker) must save daughter figure (Eleanor, Elizabeth) from abusive religious parent figure (Sofia, Comstock) before he or she can turn the daughter figure into their legacy.... Admit that Bioshock 2 was very importanr for infinite.

I agree that Bioshock 2 doesn't get the respect it deserves (heres a good article on it)

But you can't just simplfy it down to better story = better game. Theres a lot more to take into consideration.

The gameplay, minus the skylines, is better in Bioshock 2 as well. But neither really has great gameplay. Its the narrative that matters.

Bioshock 2 is better than most people would like to think, but no. I used to say that Bioshock is better than the 2nd.... But after playing Infinite.... Bioshock= Bioshock Infinite= Bioshock 2 They are all so great, its now up there with Zelda as gaming franchises I consider "Legendary". I wouldn't have it any other way.

I've not played Bioshock 2 (and likely can't since my Steam version is incompatible with W8) so I'm not the best commenter on that game but I disagree with your assessments on Infinite's weaknesses.  It's the best game I've played since HL2.

And the bar for great DLC is Dark Souls' Artorias of the Abyss.

BS2 is ok. However doing the same escort mission (protect a little sister) over and over and over and over, gets kind of tedious after awhile. Then we have the fact that you play as a big slow guy in a diving suit, which in my opinion is a lot less fun then playing as a light and agile character.

From all the hype and reviews I expected Infinite to be the second coming of Christ. Adam Sessler's review is a prime example of this.  I enjoyed the game but found the large area battles felt much to like a typical FPS but it was okay since I was only really interested in the story. The first two Bioshocks had choice and consequence in regards to how you treated the little sisters and the weapon upgrades/ammo made the combat much more interesting. Infinite is good, but I have no desire to play it again, and I'll be lucky if I hold onto it for future dlcs rather than trading it in while I can still get a good price for it.  All the pretentious mumbo jumbo platitudes for Infinite is a bit too much and the whole infinite amount of universes is a bit of mess and its best if you try not to rationalise every point in the plot.

I didn't really like Bioshock 2 because I was supposed to be this awesome OP big daddy yet I felt weaker than the ordinary dude from the first game.Â
