[QUOTE="ShadowDeathX"]1080p is old though, useless. You need to upgrade to something bigger.AM-Gamer

Thats funny because your pc wont run any high end games at a resolution beyond that at even a playable framerate.

If it's the PC in his sig... yeah it will. That system would crush just about any game out there, at 1440p, and stay above 30 fps, at least, maybe with a few dips below that, depending on the game. So... better framerates than most console games.

Edit: And he probably is running all the games at those resolutions, with extremely playable framerates, considering that the sig also says he's using a 1440p monitor at 120hz, and 6042x1080 triple monitor, eye-finity setup.

Seriously dude, you have absolutely no clue what you're talking about when it comes to computer hardware. It's become painfully obvious over your last several posts.

[QUOTE="AM-Gamer"]

[QUOTE="ShadowDeathX"] I never got these people. They spend a boatload of money on a TV but plug it in to ancient console. It's like having a $4000 sound system on a PoS Geo Metro.the_bi99man

And I never got the people that bought a $1500 dollar pc and a $200 dollar monitor.  I see all these people cry about jaggies on console games.  In all honestly I have a 55 inch tv and from the distance I can barely see any Jaggies, the games still look good and the Blu ray movies look outstanding better then any crap you are streamig from a pc.

You may think your console games look good on that TV, from that distance, and they probably do, because the viewing distance does go a long ways toward making imperfections harder to see. But, PC games, at good settings, actually rendering at the resolution that TV is supposed to display, will just look even better again, for the same reasons.

true. the difference between playing dark souls (or any PS3 game) on my 23'' monitor, sitting 2ft from it, and playing it on a 42'' TV from a good 6-8ft away is like night and day. i was honestly surprised at how good the game looked on my TV after almost exclusively playing it hooked to my monitor for a year (TV is too far from the router to get reliable wireless internet).

The diffrence between 200fps and 60fps is virtually non existant to the human eye.

AM-Gamer

Lol. You believe that all you want. I've seen it with my own eyes. It's huge. Anyone saying the human eye can't see the difference is either

A: not speaking from their own experience, but just reciting something they read or

B: Lying or

C: legally blind.

And yes, every single person who has ever made that claim falls into one of those categories.

Um no its actually a proven scentific fact.  The max fps that a humans could tell in a video game was around 70fps and that was games with massive amounts of motion blur  like racing games etc.  Regardless no high end DX 11 games are going to run on low spec pc's at 200fps . Even the Gforce titant wont run high end games at 200fps. Why do I want to build a pc to run PS3 graphics with higher frames?

Oh God the amount of dumb I can't..... handle..... it

240HZ refresh rate

240 Hz so you can play console games at less than 30 fps, and watch TV/movies at about 23.

Silly, indeed.

they didn't need to. The textures the game has are surprisingly high resolution, to the point that they don't actually reveal all the detail at the 720p-ish res the console versions are at. Running it at 1080p using DSfix actually looks like there is new textures, even though there isn't.

Okay, now I'm done. :P

The durante´s fix was released litterally a short few hours after the game´s release, and after the first week or so,60 fps mode was also available. It´s looks substantially better than the console versions and even the vanilla version had stable framerate unlike the console versions wich will have those issues forever.

The games textures are the same and are actually really good but the low resolution of the consoles cover them up, 1080p on PC means you can actually see the proper details in armor and on swords where they were totally lost on the console version.

Again learn a thing or two before making a total fool of yourself.

That stable framerate was the biggest thing for me. It's so nice. I didn't even mess with the framerate unlocker, to get it up to 60, since I heard it can cause some weird glitches (and might get you banned from GFWL, since it's the only aspect of the DSfix that actually alters any game code. Can be seen as a cheat), but just having it keep a perfectly steady 30 made that game far more enjoyable than the first time I played it.

Dx11 will be Dx12 likely in a few years. And we don't have proper 200Hz monitors so 120 is fine. Your TV is 240Hz because it has 3D so when 3D is activate it's chopped in half back down to 120Hz

Ive ran several last gen games at well beyond  100fps and could see no diffrence over 60fps.  There is no lying , prove me wrong.  Granted it wasnt on m 240hz tv but I should still be able to see the diffrence no?

Dx11 will be Dx12 likely in a few years. And we don't have proper 200Hz monitors so 120 is fine. Your TV is 240Hz because it has 3D so when 3D is activate it's chopped in half back down to 120Hz

It's not even real 240Hz. All HDTVs will cap themselves at 60fps. The 120Hz/240hz/600hz stuff are all bunch of interpolation marketing gimmicks to fool the idiots.

You need to be done because you dont have a valid point , to say you can tell the diffrence between 200fp sand 60fp is an absolute lie.

AM-Gamer

So you're in category...

A: not speaking from personal experience, but just reciting something you read

and whoever wrote whatever you read, is either

B: lying or

C: blind.

Thanks for clarifying.

Now, with that closure, I'm actually done with this thread.

You need to quit being so derpy. I'm gonna have to come back with my alt account.

Ive ran several last gen games at well beyond  100fps and could see no diffrence over 60fps.  There is no lying , prove me wrong.  Granted it wasnt on m 240hz tv but I should still be able to see the diffrence no?

Right right, what was the refresh rate of the monitor(or tv) you were using?

Total facepalm...

No, you wouldn't see the difference if it wasn't on a monitor that can support it. A 60hz display doesn't display more than 60 fps, which is exactly why you woudn't see any difference above that.

Run games that fast on your 240hz TV (unless what shadowdeath just posted is true, about HDTVs limiting themselves to 60, no matter what. I'm not sure about that), and see. Until then, you're still in category A. After that, we'll see if you turn up in B and/or C, as well.

And you're telling everyone else they need to learn more about tech...

Funny , Deep Down looked far better then anything ive ever seen on pc.  You hermits hould thank the PS4 because now you can finally get some use out of your DX11 cards.

Really? looked like a tech demo to me. If it looks like that then fairplay, I will get a next gen console to play it if it doesn't come to PC

Gametrailers had 3CGI artist come on there to anaylize if it was actually in engine, and they all agreed that it was.  search for deep down on gametrailers its pretty interesting.

No,it really isn´t,I have one myself and what it actually displays to the user is 60hz,anyone with only a small knowledge on how tech works knows this full well.

HDTV

Motion interpolation is used in various display devices such as HDTVs and video players, aimed at alleviating display motion blur, a common problem on LCD flat-panel displays.

The commercial name given to motion interpolation technology varies across manufacturers, as does its implementation.

Sony MotionFlow 100 Hz, 100 Hz PRO (XBR series, Australia), 120 Hz, 200 Hz, 240 Hz, 400 Hz, 480 Hz, 800 Hz, 960 HzWikipedia

Sorry but no it's not. It's a cheap trick to alleviate jitters and blur in motion on TV screens where ghosting and artifacting can occur. It's not the same as rendering 240 frames a second

If it was, TV makers would put in D-DVI or DisplayPort inputs onto the HDTV in order to take advantage of the so called, true 240hz.

They don't, because it is NOT real.

I have watched it, it was interesting. But In engine is not in game . It's easy crank the engine up to 11 and record some footage and then play it back to an audience. Then they will scale it all back to fit the hardware so it runs at acceptable framerates

Comment sums it up

"The problem with interpolation is that it adds images that aren't real. The TV doesn't understand physical objects and how they move or occlude other objects, it can only "blend" two discrete pictures and you end up with high speed mud."

"Aging console graphics hardware lets down Infinite, too. When the original BioShock debuted on Xbox 360 in 2007, it was an eye-gasmic wonder a blissful marriage of Art Deco art direction with top-shelf graphics technology. Fast-forward almost six years, and Infinite is every bit as effective in the former area, but in the raw graphics department it fails to make anywhere near the same impact on either Microsoft or Sonys box."

"Its far from an ugly game (quite the opposite, really), but the low-quality textures, wooden NPCs (aside from Elizabeth), and occasional minor but noticeable framerate hitches are all maladies the first BioShock avoided. It seems Infinites stratospheric ambition is a bit too much, at least in the technology department, for the creaky hardware of the aging consolesThe PC version, as run on mid-range hardware, makes no such visual compromises, with gorgeous high-resolution textures, detailed faces, and smooth performance"

PC gamers are the most desperate butthurt fanboys on SW.  You mean you got the best version of a game when its going against 7 year old hardware?  Congrats buddy
