Ok, I kid. :)

Biggest hermit in the world is kidding around? I think not. I'll buy it for PC down the line, would rather play it on 360 first.

Cna I ask you why? I assume you HAVE a PC, and aren't waiting for one, or building one later on right?

There's no multiplayer, so it's not a "all my loser consolite friends ar eon xbox" BS I always here from console gamers. There's full gamepad support, so that can't be it either. The graphics are much better, the frame rate is much better, there's no screen tearing, or long loading times. I don't get it.

It's like owning the most owesome audiphile 7.1 sound system on the planet.... and then hooking up your 1992 walkman to it. Or like being served a huge, delicious rib eye steak dripping with butter, but throwing the plate on the ground, taking off your shoe, and eating that instead.

If you have the OPTION of the PC version, why play the console version? I can see if you don't have a gmaing PC, but otherwise? I'm really curious.

Hell, it's even the CHEAPER verison by far! you cna get three games for free + $15 cash back from Green man gaming, or $30 in 2K credit from amazon. You aren't going to get that for the console $60 version.

Yes, I have a PC capable of playing it. I just prefer to play on consoles, that's it. No need to get all in depth with it. I love playing on my PC, but most are old and new exclusives, like Simcity (meh), and what not. Plus, I borrow a lot of games between friends, so there's that too. Also, don't make such weak analogies.

I think they're rather apt anologies, IMHO. You have the ability to play a FAR superior experience, even IGN says flat out, the scope of this game reaches beyond the old console hardware. And there are also absolutely no downsides to you getting the PC version, cheaper, even right down to the couch + gamepad experience would be the same.

It just seems weird to me. But hey, whatever floats your boat, man. I know a guy whose wife is a frigging award winning baker, and he'll pass on her out of this world, culinary masterpiece of an apple pie for that crap they sell at the register at stop & shop.

Boggles the mind. But some people are just weird, or have their unusual rituals.

You shouldn't project your lack of technical knowledge on to other people. For a lot of people PC gaming is very easy.

Having the knowledge just means you know how to fix the problems. It doesn't make the problems go away.

I'm wondering why no one has a counter argument to this. Anyone?

They agve the game a highly respectable and not all too shocking 9.4 on consoles and actually gave the PC version 9.5. Making it THE version of the game to get it would seem

In all seriousness though it was obviously going to be a very high score and not at all surprising

It´s not 0.1 difference. IGN cannot give a PC version a much higher score because that would be like

Consoles: 9.4/10

PC: 12/10 ???

Lowe0, you are a pc gamer, but why you are always trying to make pc gaming look bad?

Relevance to the question?

What question? The heavily biased and loaded, and IGNORANT statement made by tha idjiot consolite?

Why should we address it?

Why don't you address the screen tearing, frame rate dropping and therefore at times UNPLAYABLE issues that 99% of consoel games have had for the past 3+ years?

How about you address all the problems Skyrim had on Ps3? Or the fact than an enitre area is almost unplayable in Dark Souls, or all the other issues that you are left with ZERO options on how to fix because consoles are closed systems, and you're stuck waiting for developers to implement fixes (if ever) - on that point, address the issue with Fez (I think or was it another indie game I'm thinking about?) that the dev said they would never fix because of Microsoft's outrageous fees for patches?

Address all of that, and then we cna discussed the feeble, ignorant and INCORRECT consolite argument that all PC games have issues.

What people like you would consider a problem on PC would be a momentary inconvenience for the computer literate.

Using your car example again, a console user is someone who would forget that a car needs petrol and break down.

Obviously some who knew a little more about cars would go to a gas station.

Just because I'm computer literate doesn't mean I want to be bothered by such issues. If a console game doesn't work, the responsibility for fixing it lies with the developer.

That is nice for you, however the vast majority of console gamers have limited computer knowledge.

People like me. Lol you're such a tool. I'm able to fix any problem I've ever encountered on a PC. I choose not to waste my time doing so. Life's too short. No, in this example you'd be the used car salesman who lies through his teeth claiming the car is perfect when in reality it WILL break down and need fixing within a few weeks of use.

Clearly untrue, I never claimed PCs were easier to use then consoles. Consoles are aimed at the lowest common denominator, any idiot can (and does) set them up with ease.

For others pc gaming is a hobby and like to build there own rigs etc.

I understand that you chose to enjoy the lesser experience of console gaming because its easier and you don't have to think. THis is fine, just don't get upset when people point it out.

Kinthalis

Why so ranty? You play PC and are happy, we play console and our happy. We each have our reasons and we each do what makes us happy. Yelling at people that they aren't having fun in the right way is just crazy.

What the hell are you tlkaing about? Lowe is SPECIFICALLY trying to troll bait by asking us to address some imagined issue with PC gaming. I'm ranting at his idiotic posts.

He has a point. He brings up too hypothetical scenarios. Broken cars are not good analogy becuase 99% of PC problems are due to software. You won´t get your hands dirty in oil fixing some game that is not starting up.

Some people like getting oil on their hands and turning a wrench. Some like upgrading and tuning their PCs. Hell, I used to like both. Now, both fall squarely in the category of "things professionals should be taking care of". I have enough technical problems to solve at work that I don't need more in between me and my limited gaming time.

The argument is loaded. He assumes that every Pc game has issues.

This is a lsit of recent PC games I've played:

Tomb Raider 2013

Star Craft 2

Sim City 2013

Skyrim

Borderlands 2

The Cave

Crysis 3

I have had ZERO issues with any of these games. Even sim City, wiht it's server issues didn't affect em at all. I think I had to wait for like 30 seconds to get on once, the day after release.

I clicked on them, they ran, flawlessly, at 2560x1440, 60+ FPS. In the meantime, my friend the console gamer complained about frame rate in Crysis 3, Framerate in Dead Space 3, Frame rate AND glitches in tomb Raider 2013.

My friend EJ had his THIRD xbox RROD on him last week, and another friend is fed up with SKyrim PS3 and is getting the PC version.

So who has the problems again?

[QUOTE="lowe0"] I'm wondering why no one has a counter argument to this. Anyone?lowe0

A counter argument?

He says that fixing a problem does not make it go away. Does a statement so logically flawed need a counter?

He said "knowing" how to fix a problem doesn't fix it.

It means you know where you stand and what your options are to tackle it, you then use the best of those options.

Not knowing what the problem is or how to fix it means you hit a dead end. Come on Lowe0 you're smarter than this

Well, this is a risk you pay for gaming on PC. But in PC defence, I must say, games run quite much better nowdays thanks to Steam-controlled environment and regular updates from game developers and video card manufacturers.

Still the benefits of 1080p, high quality graphical details and 60fps are worth the risk, in my opinion. So far, from 100 games I own on Steam, I only have trouble running Bioshock 1 on Win 7 64 bit. Although Bioshock 2 runs flawlessly. But I got for 3 bucks anyway. Not a big deal.

Already covered that. What matters to me is not that I can fix it, but that it shouldn't be broken in the first place. That's the expectation my users have of the software I develop; why should my expectations for the software I use be any different?

I hope the requirements allow my 580 to run it above 60hz... just got a 120hz monitor. Sounds like it will. So excited.

This thing on my neck is getting bigger and redder, at first it started to hurt, now it just numb. No worries though, I'm built like a tank. (I'm ready to talk about Bioshock whenever you are).

I was thinking of doing this, but I've got Star Craft 2: Heart of the swarm campaign to finish, still toying with Sim City, in the middle of a replay of Skyrim AND workign on my first Windows 8 app.

But god damn it, you're making me want to fire it up tonight.
