Can't wait to disable those camera affects....Jebus213
But Crytek sacrificed so much gameplay to make those shiny camera effects!
Game still looks like sh!t.
blame lemmings for trying to make crysis 1 fight ps3 exclusives for graphics kin and hermits for letting it happen. crysis 1 wasnt even that good waste of 20 bucks if u ask me, oo bad i alredy purchased crysis2 before playing 1 so i guess ill get to it later or something looks even crappierSeries needs to die already, it just screams mediocrity.

Wow, you must be blind or really ignorant. Probably both.
Na, you just have low standards or have different tastes. Im looking at more then just the lighting. crysis 3 will be in the same boat as Crysis 2 being held back by console limitations.he is right. there are better looking games out thereGame is heading to mediocre like second one. its primilary build with console in mind.SNIPER4321
He is wrong and so are you. Crysis 3 has an astounding level of detail in the levels and the lighting is superb.
ArmA 3 looks impressive, but so did ArmA 2 in all of the promos. You get it running on a machine and you'll notice how terrible the LoD system is (trees poping into detail, grass not rendering properly, terrible lighting).
There is far more detail in those Crysis 3 shots than can be compared with even the best looking games out there right now.

For all of their apparent limitations, Crysis fit onto the current gen consoles. They made some graphical sacrifices, but the levels were just as large, the destruction was still there.
So... if they could do it for Crysis, why couldn't they do it for Crysis 3?
Crysis 2 was made by a different core team than Crysis 1 was. The guys at Crytek Germany were continuing development on the CryEngine 3 while EA forced Crysis 2 to be created by Crytek UK with an unfinished engine.
Console or not, nobody could make a proper sequel to Crysis with an unfinished engine.
Metro 2033 looks just as good as Crysis 1 and better than 2. so Metro Last light definetely looks better than Crysis 3...SNIPER4321
Metro 2033 has much better details than Crysis 1 but also has much smaller environments. Crysis 2 with the DX11 patch and high texture patch has about the same amount of detail as Metro 2033. Unfortunatly the textures still suffer from some terrible compression. A texture mod fixes that and it is one of the best looking games out there.
Na, you just have low standards or have different tastes.04dcarraherTake your head out of your ass, twit.

Please... your caught up the hype and bullshots. Wait until the game actually releases and see all the medicore detail and design flaws from the game. You praised Crysis 2 the same way, and it wasnt that great.Looks great. I really enjoyed Crysis 2. Yeah it was way more linear, but it was still really fun, and I play games for fun, not based on if they're built just for PC or not.

Crysis 2 was a beautiful game even at launch. Though the levels were hit and miss. Some of the night time levels in time square had the best lighting I've ever seen in a video game.
Crysis 2 had far more detail than Crysis 1 and far better lighting.
pc been trying all gen to keep up with ps3 graphicsNot impressed really, is this what all the PC hype is about?

Please  the 1st Crysis on consoles was severally gimped, they had to cut out things, use 2d sprites, add in many more loading pauses in the levels. etc interactive sizes and draw distances were not the same. Who gives a crap about different dev teams Crysis 2's story, gameplay, and design limits put by consoles made Crysis 2 into a mediocre game at best and Crysis 3 is a continuation of 2. And Crytek are the king of liars and hype when the game comes out you will see its not even close as they presented it.[QUOTE="04dcarraher"]Please... your caught up the hype and bullshots. shhh. The game was on consoles, it can't possibly be better than Crysis in any way! That was sarcasm just to be clear. I hope you are trolling, its difficult because you are a mod, people are scared to debate you. So many years on and you support a crippled limited sequal that could have been so much more. Shame on you Wasdie, shame on you.

I have a feeling this will be a lot more polished than C2. These environments look great for stalking. I'm hoping for more destructibility and more open sandboxes from C3.
Looks really nice, I just hate how over done some of the effects are, you can't even see the sky. I much prefer the more natural look you get from games like ARMA.
Still in the city with jungle added in just to semi impress the old fans, christ sake Crytek.

Since when is telling the truth considered trolling? You'd have to be blinded by PC fanboyism to think Crysis has more detail or better lighting than Crysis 2. Now gameplay is a different topic, but we're not talking about that.[QUOTE="04dcarraher"][QUOTE="Wasdie"]Crysis 2 had better lighting yes but detail.... I dont think so How so? Toxic-Seahorse
Crysis 2 vanilla textures were based on console assets which they only have around 256mb Vram to work with.
Need an example eh?
Crysis 2 Pc using vanilla textures
Crysis 2 using imported Grass textures from 1st Crysis.
