I enjoy the options. Gives you an open area, let's you approach in different ways. Armour and frontal assault, stealth cloak and assassinate, flank and rob a turret, get up high and snipe, etc. I also found the AI to be better then average, and of course it looks amazing![QUOTE="locopatho"]Looks amazing. its unbalanced. the story and characters are sh!t just seems boring and tedious[QUOTE="tenaka2"][QUOTE="Wasdie"]
Crysis 2 was a beautiful game even at launch. Though the levels were hit and miss. Some of the night time levels in time square had the best lighting I've ever seen in a video game.
Crysis 2 had far more detail than Crysis 1 and far better lighting.

I hope you are trolling, its difficult because you are a mod, people are scared to debate you. So many years on and you support a crippled limited sequal that could have been so much more. Shame on you Wasdie, shame on you.
Since when is telling the truth considered trolling? You'd have to be blinded by PC fanboyism to think Crysis has more detail or better lighting than Crysis 2. Now gameplay is a different topic, but we're not talking about that.Crysis at the time was a year ahead of the availible hardware, if crysis 2 was made in the same way it would still be the grahics king for the next few years and could have been amazing.
But they sold out, crytec went for console and failed, they had to sack people, crysis 2 failed in sales, crysis sold more.
They betrayed their fanbase made a crappy sequal and lost out. They deserved it.

[QUOTE="04dcarraher"]Please... your caught up the hype and bullshots. Wait until the game actually releases and see all the medicore detail and design flaws from the game. You praised Crysis 2 the same way, and it wasnt that great.

I can't support fun games? I have to base all of my opinions off of your standards of measuring if a game isn't "worthy" of being a sequel?
How can you guys even enjoy video games. You spend so much time comparing them and pointing out their faults that I believe you completely ruin any experience for yourself.
I used to do that back when I was more active in actually picking sides with this silly board. I realized I was just hating games to keep up some ridiculous status quo. Apparently you haven't realized that.
So what if the game isn't as good as the original. It was fun to play and it was beautiful to look at. I enjoyed it. Isn't that all that matters in the long run? Apparently to you guys, no it doesn't.

Crysis 2 vanilla textures were based on console assets which they only have around 256mb Vram to work with.
Need an example eh?
Crysis 2 Pc using vanilla textures
Crysis 2 using imported Grass textures from 1st Crysis.
Detail is more than just texture resultion, and I've already stated that the texture resolution isn't as high in Crysis 2.
I suffer from post-apocalyptic fatigue. There have been too many games in these types of settings. That said the shoots look excellent from a tech standpoint. I think this will be a fun game :)!
[QUOTE="PinnacleGamingP"][QUOTE="locopatho"]Looks amazing. Crysis is an excellent series :)locopathoyea sounds like you need to get a ps3 I have a PS3. Crysis is worst on it, and it's exclusive shooters are also worse then Crysis, imo. What's your point? you aint got sh!t brah

If they follow the same path as Crysis 2 its going to be mediocre. If they create the pc version with its own assets it will a slightly different outcome with graphics and detail.[QUOTE="PinnacleGamingP"][QUOTE="locopatho"] I enjoy the options. A lot of people grumble about the lighting in Crysis 2. It seems to me Crysis 2 got it right. I have some photos of NYC and Crysis 2 seems to compare favorably.

That wouldn't be a QA nightmare or anything.

All games seem to emulate camera lens rather than human eyes. C'mon, can you really say that screenshot of ARMA III looks more realistic? It looks even worse than Crysis 2/Crysis 3.
Edit:
Besides, the increase in real-world bloom seems to coincide with the increase in vehicular traffic. Perhaps, the sun rays get diffused by the exhaust particles. I remember I kept sneezing due to the overly bright conditions.
Face it, Timesplitters were terrible games and Crysis is where the money's at.Lol Fvck crytek. They refuse to make Timesplitters 4 and the have decided to go F2P after Crysis. They can't even make Crysis 3 decent from the looks of it.

It's just a screen shot doctored up in Photoshop to give "teh cinematic feeling."

We're at the other side of NY. But, we make it a point to go sightseeing in NYC once a year.
I'm not a big fan of the color tints developers use. It's not too bad in Crysis 2 fullscreen. It seems more obvious in BF3 and now ARMA III. Hopefully, the tint can be disabled via mod or console command.

That looks much better. I like it. But, I'll have to buy it and have a hands-on look before I decide if it's better-looking than Crysis 3.
Nice looking shots, the lightning looks very nice and more natural. The enviroment is definitely an improvement from Crysis 2...
Still, can't say I have too much of an interest in it as a agame...
Maybe I'll just get it when its cheap, looks like it has some potential to be a benchmark,or a stability test...
