Just wondering. I don't see any reasonable logic that would make it not count just because it's a sports game. But then again, reasonable logic doesn't really exist here... I may have answered my own question.

its a exclusive game you can only play it on sony console. sony dosent care if u buy it on Ps2, psp or ps3 as long u buy it. xbox fanboys think PC and x360 are one and the same.
So what? It's only on Playsation. By this Logic MGS4 and LBP are no longer exlusives because the Metal Gear Series started on PS1, and LBP is on PSP. What does it being a baseball game have anything to do with it? If it was Madden people would call it exclusive.
^That's why. Plus it's a baseball game.

Outside of Sytem Wars maybe. Here, it is not exclusive as it's on more than one system. Those are the rules of System Wars i'm afraid.
What list has the game been omitted from? is there some official AAA list for SW or something? themyth01No, I just see it on some lists and many lists don't include it.
It was heavily debated on both for MLB08, and MLB09...but the two guys that run the official list didn't update, so nothing happened.
It wasn't like there was a committee or Senate in charge, it's just a list that is run by a couple of nice regular posters like us.
Unfortunately, the argument that the PS2/PSP versions were different enough didn't sway either guy from changing the list.
So, that's that. It's one of those things.
But...it's only on PS3...Really? Sorry, I meant only Sony consoles.[QUOTE="kittyloaf69"][QUOTE="lundy86_4"]

Your MGS4 and LBP comparisons make no sense. MGS and LBP (PSP) are not the same games as MGS4 and LBP (PS3)
Will MLB The Show 10 be exclusive to PS3 and PSP? If so, then basing this statement off LBP, it should be considered exclusive.kittyloaf69Can someone buy it on the PS2? If so, then it's not exclusive.

Not really. MGS4 isn't on the PS1, it's clearly different to the others in the series. Both versions of LBP are apparently different enough for them to be seperate games. This will probably be the last year Sony bother putting MLB on the PS2 & PSP anyway.

Such as whether the gameplay or gamestyle varies greatly from system to system. If it does, then exclusivity can be argued for it. If they are very similar, and offer similar features, then they are seen as not exclusive.

TC there are plenty of good arguements to consider MLB exclusive you just missed them all and picked the worst possible arguement negating any chance at debating the game's exclusivity cause now everything will always fall back to "there are no company exlcusives in SW" which I agree with.
Valid arguements would be.
Gametrailers called it exclusive.
Gamespot didn't review the PSP or PS2 versions. If they were the same why did just slap the score on?
Metacritic has the PS3 version at AAA and the PS2 version isn't even AA if I recall correctly.
Diferent Game Engine which imho means diferent game when talking about a sports title.
Example, most ppl would consider Madden 10 exclusive if it were only on 1 platform, however I'm sure you could argue the diference between Madden 09 and Madden 10 on the HD twins is probably smaller the MLB PS3 vs PS2.
Either way I don't care, I think it should count for the simple fact that if it was the other way around lems would get it as an exclusive, they even get "placeholders" lol. I'm not that hardheaded tho, I understand it isn't that clear cut, and making it exclusive would open discussions on exclusivity between last gen and current gen sports titles. I don't care either way.
And you should close it with your mod powas! :PI hear it...that sound...
It's the sound of Pandora's Box re-opening...

MLB09 on ps3, and ps2 are pretty much exactly the same games, except for a graphics downgrade one could play one and wouldn't have played the other...therefor its not exclusive....THEY are pretty much the exact same games with no key differences that i know of.
xbox fanboys with the GTA4 DLC every time they had PS3 vs x360 exclusives they always included the GTA4 DLCI literally have no idea what in the world you're going on about, I'm a bit confused now actually. GTAIV DLC? Are you referring to Episodes from Liberty City -- which is a stand-alone retail game that doesn't require GTAIV to play, and was initially exclusive?DontBeHatin1983

What does it being a baseball game have anything to do with it? If it was Madden people would call it exclusive. Um no argues that if any game in a series is multiplet that all games are. MGS3 and MGS4 are exclusives, MGS and MGS2 are not. Don't know about LBP as it depends on if its a straight port or a different game with the same name. If we are going to count exclusives to one company then 360/PC games should count. Until cows give up that point the MLB games don't count.[QUOTE="Floppy_Jim"]

The term exclusive has to be a non-changing rule overwise there is just to much chaos on this board.
If it's on another system then the game is not excluive.
To give an example of this rule. Sin and Punchment is on the N64 in Japan the only system it's on in the US is the Wii. Because the game is on another system even if it's not playable here it's not exclusive.
FYI:This is not a mod rule or Gamestop rule.
