I already know who will quote me and what they will say  but what the hell:
For $250, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Big Brain Academy, and Dragon Quest Swords may find a way.

Well IMO the only game that I'm interested in that is above my hype for Wii games is Bioshock the other games are below the Wii games in my interested list, but that is just me, because my top 10 is
1.) Bioshock
and then a bunch of Wii games that I don't feel like listing.

because i bet most people will choose halo over those ttitles any day.
halo will last longer then all those games.

I don't really like Halo but it might last Longer then all those Games except for SSBB since SSBM still has people playing SSBM and it was released in 2001.[QUOTE="tree-branch"][QUOTE="Ganon_919"][QUOTE="tree-branch"][QUOTE="Ganon_919"]I already know who will quote me and what they will say  but what the hell:

Not to mention there are confounding variables.
Such as, Japan didn't back the Gamecube last gen, therefore, software sales took a big hit.
That's different this gen (Hell, the Wii is about the catch the Gamecube in hardware sales in Japan already).
Japan STILL isn't backing the 360.
So Dragon Quest, Super Mario Galaxy, and Brawl could see HUGE sales because of that.
That's just what I see, and you can't say Halo lasts longer than Super Smash Bros. now that they both have online.
I think you mean can the 360 stop the Wii?
and the answer is a decisive No. hell no.
btw only GTA and Halo 3 will have any market impact
MP3, Wii Fitness, Mario Galaxy, SSBB, Pokemon, and Braintaining will easily trump them as far as selling console is concerned.

Darn, you just got so owned by a mere opinion!!! WOw makes sence!
Only one on that list I'm any interested in at all is Blue Dragon. The rest are a bunch of games from series overrated to the max or games that looks to focus too much on graphics instead of gameplay *Put's up flame shield*. That's just me though.
If Wii will beat those games or not can't be said for sure. One things for sure and that's that both sides have a chance right now. :P

Stop them? Stop them from what? It won't be running them but what is there to stop?kittykatz5k
I think he probably meant, "compete" against those titles. Nintendo does have SSBB, Metroid, Mario Galaxy and a few other titles being readied for the holidays, so they should be fine. These 3 titles along are going to sell over a million easily. The 360 has a great lineup of titles for the fall as well. I don't see either console failing this holiday season.

So Halo with online beating Smash bros without online means Halo with online will beat Smash bros with online.
What are we talking about? Because only two of those are franchises that have been proven sellers. The other two are not, heck BD didn't sell 360's in Japan. Mass Effect and Bioshock are new IPs that really have no fanbase, so it's anyone's game.yoshi_64
Don't forget that the GTA fanbase is comprised of 90% Sony fanboys, so no matter what happens, GTA4 will not sell nearly as many copies on the 360 as the GTA games did on the PS2, not by a long shot.
I already know who will quote me and what they will say  but what the hell:
For $250, Super Smash Bros Brawl(repetitive and simplistic), Super Mario Galaxy (I haven't played a platformer since I was 12. *yawn*), Metroid Prime 3 (Hopefully for Ninty it's AAA), Big Brain Academy (Not a game. It's work in disguise.), and Dragon Quest Swords (The one game on your list I actually want.)may find a way.

The fact that you called Super Smash Bros. simplistic is reason enough for me to ignore your post as I know it's misinformed.
Why cant lemmings accept that Blue Dragon is going to flop? It got good reviews in Japan but its sales bombed harder then any game in recent history, especially in a region that loves JRPG's and is the genres home country. It will get good reviews here probably but it still wont sell as well as Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Star Ocean or pretty much any other JRPG series does in North America.DSgamer64Why not? You just named three JRPGs that sell well. What's the difference?

Nope. Owned a Gamecube and SSB. It has nothing short of a jump and attack button. Woo. The maps are multi-tiered. We've never seen that done in a more complex game.[QUOTE="Ganon_919"][QUOTE="rhaigun"][QUOTE="Ganon_919"]I already know who will quote me and what they will say  but what the hell:

And...I care why? The fact is, SSB is fun for a few weeks and then it just gets old. I even got suckered into buying Small Arms on 360 thinking it would be SSB but better. Because it has guns. Nope. The gameplay is just as simplistic and repetitive.yoshi_64 you saythat now but in the end is another storyTnasty11How so? Please elaborate? Otherwise you're words are wieghtless blabber. Fact is, GTA and Halo are the only known games to sell. Doesn't matter how bad they can be, they've broken record sales, and it's very safe to assume the same will happen with the next two games.
However, Bioshock, Mass Effect, and especially Blue Dragon are entirely new IPs, one of which is catering to a much more niche market IMO. The RPG market is big, but BD looks more like a child's game and no doubt will be percieved that way by the general public. It's japanese flavored design is another reason, also noting that it didn't sell out so well in Japan. What hope is there that in NA it will do better?
