You see the difference is, they play nothing alike, which is why I asked you which was the best one. SF2 + 4 have similarities but are ultimately different games even on a fundamental level. As for your other statement, long time fans like myself preferred GG or BB to be at least on GG's level.

GD1551

What are you even trying to say at this point. I just really hate this "Hurr durr but GG's better" attitude. Yeah. It is. BB is still a great game though and really needs more love in the US and all this attitude does is hurt the scene which is largely comprised of former GG players.

1. I was pointing out the flaw with identifying the "best" SF since they aren't very similar to each other.

2. What scene? It only hurts BB's scene, whatever is left of it. If anything having the "GG is better" attitude may get us GG faster than if we accepted BB and not qqed about it.

SFs are more similar than BB when comapred to GGX2AC so if you're going to make that argument then you've just ruined your other argument. Your GG is better attitude isn't going to do anything to get you GG faster because they already said they were going to finish the Blazblue story before they made another GG. Do you really even have any valid points? How about you actually make a statement on what you're trying to say because right now it seems like you don't have an overall point. You started out trying to say BB is milked but now you're talking about how GG is better which doesn't really have anything to do with anything. I mean it's just a mess of an argument.

Capcom milks their franchises period, like re-releasing RE4 and Okami for the Wii, or porting the RE games on the GameCube, re-releasing them on the Wii, using their own in house talent to re-release games and outsource work to other studios to create new IPs when it should really be the other way around.

Mess of what argument? I said BB wasn't fighter of the gen and was just a watered down GG. I am right on both accounts. And if you want to compare BB to one version of GG by all means do so. My original point was to show all fighting game companies milk their games but capcom was the only one getting flak for it, My thread was derailed and I just went along with it, I don't see how you could not follow that.

Because you made a huge mess of it by quoting Daisuke and failing to make any points. As I said whatever argument you were trying to present is a completely mess. As for the rest: You don't really have any thing else to go on other than that for your argument.

My quote was to only show that the game was actually made easier........ I don't see what else you could possibly think it was for.

Why exactly does making the game easier come off as such an inherently bad thing when GG had a massively high skill ceiling that no one in America ever came close to reaching. Hell I look at Blazblue and the only person in the US who seems anywhere near the Japanese is Spark. Even then you see Japanese tournaments and they're still dropping combos and getting hit by things people mock for being "scrubby" ("slow" overheads). I could see it being made easier being a more legitimate complaint if people had actually been amazing at Guilty Gear back in the day. As it is it just comes off as a bunch of people saying a game is too easy then being purple thrown and getting hit by 26 frame overheads all day. That said it's a better argument than the "but blazblue is an anime game" despite nearly all the big fighting games being pretty "anime".

Just going to point out that MvC2 has a higher skill ceiling than GG ever has and America excels at the game.

Erm Blazblue is made by Aksys though? 0.0

LegatoSkyheart

I too noticed that.

The point is that ArkSys also milks their Fighting Games yet no one gives them flak about it.

Except that nearly no one buys theirs, seriously. I own BB and BB CS but none of my friends do and aint that popular on the internet either.

I'll take your word for it since I never played much MvC2 past sh*ts and giggles level of play. Still you have to admit both GG and BB American play is several levels lower than the Japanese scene. There's probably a whole bunch of reasons for that but it doesn't change the fact it annoys me that people use "oh the games way easier than GG so it sucks" and then when they do play it they get hit by purple throws and stuff.

You know Capcom milks fighters with they charge money for mere PALETTE SWAPS.
