Cliffy B leaves Epic......yeah nothing to see here, not like he created anything memorable. What talent does he have anyway? The first gears was nothing more than an Unreal engine tech demo, and the other 2 games...well there was just no meat and potatoes in those ganes either. Guess I just wasn't impressed with his stuff, but good for all you Cliffy B-eanie babies that were. Good for you, now stop licking the window, and go play Gears.

I wonder if since he is a huge Nintendo fan if he might go to Retro Studios after his extended vacation.

It is just hypothetical Retro was rumored to be in contact with Epic games about UE4.

Very few game developers deserve this much discussion, Cliffy is not one of them.. In fact the majority of attention you got was from idiotic statement rather than anything good..

Love him or hate him, the dude was one of the most talented shooter designers in the industry, and his influence of this gen has been monumental. He's also one of the few guys in gaming who gives his honest opinion when people ask him a question.

He will be missed, and hopefully he'll come back.

Well said. I wanted to see his Sci-Fi-rim (Unreal reboot with focus on exploration in the vein of Elder Scrolls) idea come to fruition. Cliff I will miss u dood.

Cliffy also created the Unreal Tournament games, which are still some of the best FPS games to this day.
