COD4 > Halo 3?! WTF?!

Its funny how he makes it sound likes you're paying 3K+ for one game, but not 400+ for just Halo 3.XaosII

A game can sell a billion copies on day one and that still does not mean it deserves GOTY award, its just means the game is so goddamn popular. And as far as I know sales dont have an effect (at least not that much) regarding awards a game may or not recieve. And personally (note I said personally) while I think Halo 3 is good, I think Call of Duty 4 beats it.

I run the game on very high on my 1200 dollar PC so stfu dude seriously, I could play the dam game on medium on the computer I just got rid of that was worth about 400 dollars.

Halo 3 is a good game, but not a completely amazing game. It had a decent SP like most shooters, but the story sucked. It's MP was pretty good, but the matchmaking kind of sucked. I played MP so much the first month, then stopped for a while and have just started picking it up again.

Sure, it's fun, but I can just see even though I have only played COD4 a few times it's overall a better experience. Except for a few aspects in MP like stated above, close to reality is not always fun. The upgrading weapons is something that would have been amazing for halo....

I do have some problems with a few of the awards this year... One thing for sure, I don't like SMG getting GOTY. It was a decent game, but overall I thought Bioshock, Cod4, ME, Crysis, hell, even H3 was a better experience. Don't get me wrong, it was a very well made and great game, but just not "best" for me. This is ALL subjective... this is my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt.

Most people who've played both Halo 3 and CoD4 agree that CoD4 is better.Guiltfeeder566

Actually the MAJORITY of PC gamers build their own computers, seriously I built more complex things with freaking legos when I was 6 then a computer, every single power coord and part in a computer can really only connect to one spot so it really is a stupid proof project. Do you have any idea how easy it is to actually put together a computer?........ Or better yet, there are websites and stores that will actually build you a computer using the parts you buy. I think cyberpowerpc.com(anyone verify? too lazy to link or go check) is a site that will do just that. Although, relying on someone else means they will charge you BS prices for labor. It will still be a LOT cheaper than an alienware PC.

Whoever actually believes you need 3 grand and an alienware PC is completely ignorant of just how a computer works. I have been using the same case for 6 years now, components are easy to remove and it's easy to install new drivers and software for it. Get educated on a subject before making claims about it, smart guy.

Ok look man. First off you are COMPLETELY wrong in your 3k figure. A sub $1000 US PC can run Crysis on all High settings. PC LCD monitors can be had for less than $200 that have a res of 1680x1050. That aside despite popular belief my PC in my sig can run Crysis @ 1920x1080 2x AA with EVERYTHING @ Very High at a consistent frame rate in the mid 40's. It drops low in some places, but that is a non issue cause it hardly happens. On top of that a patch is on the way from Crytek that will eliminate frame rate issues for most people.

Next thing...Halo 3 did NOT revision or do a single thing for the FPS genre except prove that if you have billions of dollars behind a game it will sell well. I read your comments and I honestly have a hard time restraining myself from calling you an idiot and moving on. Every single post I have ever seen of yours is a Halo 3 praising puke fest. Why should anyone take you seriously when you praise a game like Halo 3?

Halo 3 did not win any awards cause people are tired of that crap. It did not deserve ANY awards. NONE! Good sales does not equal quality. The only thing that tells me is that there are alot of people out there that are unwilling to be the only person out there that did not buy Halo 3. It seriously was a follow the leader thing and it epitomizes the name that Xbox 360 fanboys have earned. Lemmings. End of Story. Go crawl back in your cave and have fun playing your horrible game.

To Halo fans:

If you owned a web site that gave book reviews, and there was this really popular series that had it's next installment coming out, what would you rate it? Say the book had average themes, and followed your average x+y+z=c set up for the finished product. Meaning, it follows a well proven "formula".

Problem is, this "book" has a HUGE fanbase and following, so even if the book was mediocre you should probably rate it as really good so you don't lose the people coming to your site. After all, we all gotta eat.

I do love playing Halo, but the game wasn't anything amazing but the hype for this series was always huge. That's what you bought into, the hype.

So far, there hasn't been one award that I've agreed upon. Call of Duty 4 is getting moremerit than it deserves.

Halo 3 is teh generic of all generic FPS's, it reaks of averageness. They failed to add anything new to it after Halo 1. Only reason it sold so much was well off it's name alone no other reason. It truely is nothing special, an most certainly didn't deserve a 9.5... more like 8.0 at best.

Thank god Jeff got fired, one less reviewer that wont be overscoring games based on there name and cause there too scared to score the game lower.

wow alienware and xps are overpriced by about 2k dollers. If you went on newegg whice im sure you havnt heard of you could build a PC with all the XPS or Alienware parts for about 2k dollers cheaper.
