You want a game to flop just because it's a timed Sony exclusive? That's ridiculous.

I was looking forward to buying this on day one, and now I'm angry :x I fear the game might not even be released on X360.[QUOTE="delta3074"][QUOTE="jerkface96"]i doubt ghostbuster will rival left4dead, but you never know, stranger things are happening in yhe world at the minute, lol haha, dude it will rival L4D, its a team of ghost busters bustin ghosts, what can go wrong in terms of perfect co op and shooting things :P we are talking about left4dead, a TRUE classic VS movie tie in game (which are rarely any good),thats like comparing haze to halflife 2,persomally i think valve should suck it up and do a ps3 version of left4dead.meh i was never interested in it, and i am a sony owner, and that does not make me excited that its exclusive. or timed.
but heres hope that it is good.
sony needs a game that rivals L4D :P

If they were scrapping it though...I'd definitely share your anger, as I'm planning on getting it for either the PC or 360.

Ah, ok. Still am dissapointed, because I was really looking forward to having it on day one, and there are hardly any interesting games this year for me with few exceptions.
Cool, I guess. Ghostbusters... *sighs*IronBass
Why you bein' a hater? :(
First KFC...and now this?
[QUOTE="IronBass"]Cool, I guess. Ghostbusters... *sighs*killerfistDon't be hatin now! Ok. The Ghostbusters theme will remain as one of the biggest and bestest classics in music story. See? I said something nice :P
lol, everybody hating. personally I have no interest in the game. but I bet if this was X360 time-exclusive, everybody would be loving the game and the news. I posted this, because I seem to recall people somewhat excited about the Ghostbusters game, now all of a sudden, they are no more interested. :lol:xxThyLordxx
Actually no... More platforms = more sales. That's a good thing in this economy. Especially for a game with a unproven dev and 2 publishers later. I was hoping for sequel type sales. So that people would give games like this chances to live. Instead of 50 cent type games.
I don't want to look at the NPD number for this game. Sony first party is already sad to look at.
But the bright side to this... The dev could get feed back and improve the game for us. Maybe even add some extra content not found in the PS3 version. Then again... Sony is standing over them.
Sony owns Columbia pictures who own the Ghostbusters IP rights.
Sony's basically doing an MS style move but because the own the IP they dont have to fork out the cash, in a way its sensible, since it creates a stir and might get ghostbusters fan to opt for the PS3 with the Blu-ray coming out the same day.
To be honest its a smart move, ghostbusters 1 and 2 on bluray and the game on the same day and your PS3's a blu-ray player, in a way your pretty much set for a little boost to sales imo.

how come you never felt this way when MS does it? dude get over yourself. if you are that worried about the game sales before its release then all i can say is that you are hating. period. sales should never be your problem, even games with bad sales still get a sequel. also, MS did the same with Alone in the Dark, made by Atari as well.[QUOTE="killerfist"][QUOTE="IronBass"]Cool, I guess. MS didn't do the same, alone in the dark on the ps3 took longer to code and they had problems getting a solid framerate that's why alone in the dark came out on ps3 later, not saying MS has not done it (lost planet 2) but not with alone in the dark.how come you never felt this way when MS does it? dude get over yourself. if you are that worried about the game sales before its release then all i can say is that you are hating. period. sales should never be your problem, even games with bad sales still get a sequel. also, MS did the same with Alone in the Dark, made by Atari as well. xxThyLordxx
You just don't get it do you? This is a no name dev. This isn't some multi million dollar dev here. They havea crapcompanypublishing their game.
This could have been thier big break. This isn't about MS getting big well known exclusives. This is about the little guy and games no big company cared about.

No one really cared for the game. But now since PS3 gets it earliest and its multiplat, everyone will start caring about it and hype it. Not to blame cows anyway, this is the same thing lemms do when they get timed exclusives or better versions even if the game flops.freeloader_101This game had a lot of interest and buzz before today. Its been discussed in System Wars quite a bit , and its a multiplat game.
Thanks for killing sales on this game Sony... Instead of having a multiplat release... Where everyone will rush out and buy it for there preferred plat... You now have only a select few that will buy this.Essentially killing the hype for this game. People will have video's all over youtube and gametrailers. The hype will be killed for other systems.
Good game Sony! I was hoping for a sequel. I can only hope for decent sales now.
Oh, well... Still going to get this on Xbox.

Did you also hate it when MS bought the time-exclusive rights to Bioshock, Eternal Sonata, Ninja Gaiden 2, Tales of Vesperia and Rock Band?
At least it's only time.

MS did not buy exclusive rights to Bioshock or Ninja Gaiden 2. The other Japanese games I know nothing about. Just because a devdecided to make a game on 360 then months later says "this games sold well, it's time to port it".... Doesn't mean MS bought them out.
Besides... This is a diff story. No one really knows how much people know about the game. A big company dumped it because they didn't see any value in it.
This company isn't a money grubber. They were just simply looking for someone to give them a chance with an awesome idea. Did Sony give a crap? No... Or else they would have picked them up from the start. It's only now they see... That this dev does have a valueable title. Now they run the fact that this could end up hurting the game. This is what makes me upset.

You need to read the article. They already announced the games for the 360 but they did not have the PS3 version in production. Because they didn't have plans at the time to make that version.
MS approched them about making it a timed exclusive. They capitalized on that because they didn't have plans at the times for a PS3 version.
So say what you want. Doesn't change the fact that 360 version was in dev and wasonly announced for 360 at the time.

Just like MS buying the exclusive rights to Rock Band ended up hurting the game. People bought Guitar Hero: WT instead.
So you think those games were "only On Xbox 360" branded because the devs want it that way? Do you really think those games were not multiplat because the Devs don't like money?
MS payed for them, it's that simple. It's MS's whole business-model this gen. Buying exclusive DLC, Time or real-exclusive games instead of having a strong first party line-up.
